A registered sex offender was arrested on Tuesday in Pennsylvania, where he allegedly attacked a woman during a burglary.
Louis Sophie, 45, reportedly entered a Bensalem home through an unlocked door before grabbing a female resident. Sophie began to take off his clothes before telling the woman she “looks tasty,” according to WCAU.
Sophie allegedly fled the home when the woman started screaming and fighting him off. WTXF reported that he ran through Poquessing Creek before police officers apprehended him at a gas station in Philadelphia, less than a half-mile away from where the attack transpired.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement lists Sophie as a sex offender with a 2005 conviction in New York for possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child younger than 16.
In the latest case, Sophie is charged with burglary and attempted rape. His bail was set at $1 million.
