Vanderpump Rules’ Shayne Davis wasn’t worried about Angelica Jensen’s brief romance with Jason Cohen when he started to get flirty with the SURver himself.
The model and screenwriter revealed as much in a recent interview with The Daily Dish when discussing what made him want to pursue Angelica to begin with. As he put it, “Angelica has exquisite genetics, and so that was one of my primary inspirations for pursuing her. Jason’s a ladies’ man; Jason is my boy, but … that wasn’t really going anywhere.”
Still, Shayne maintained that he Jason are still “absolutely brothers” after all was said and done. “I had a talk with Jason and, you know, I don’t think he was the most pleased, but we did have our bro-to-bro conversation around it,” Shayne said.

In his interview with The Daily Dish, Shayne played coy about their status. “Me and Angelica are exquisite,” he said, teasing more to come as Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules continues.

When asked if he wished to clear up any outstanding matters from his time filming Vanderpump Rules, Shayne said he didn’t have anything to set the record straight about. However, “I think sometimes the way I might represent myself is what needs to be, like, straightened out,” he laughed to The Daily Dish.
Shayne, more specifically, explained that he doesn’t want to come off as uncaring just because he’s “ethically non-monogamous.”
“I think people get the wrong impression. While I am completely averse and almost allergic to any style of relationship with a woman, I am not a guy who uses women or doesn’t care about their well-being or feelings,” he said. “And you’ll see that as the episodes continue — like, I do want to be a good guy to women. Even if it is more on a casual or a fling.”
Shayne’s clarification came amid his and Angelica’s budding romance on Vanderpump Rules. During Season 12, Episode 8, he got honest about his desire to hook up with her even though he’s admittedly not “boyfriend material.”
“This is where the ethics become difficult,” he said in a confessional interview. “I know that she wants somebody to rely on emotionally, and I know I don’t have those tools, but I want to sleep with her, and it’s just like two worlds at war.”
Still, Angelica hoped she could be the one to help Shayne change his ways — but she wasn’t the happiest when Shayne shared his pulled pork sandwich with Natalie Maguire during the cast’s excursion to a street festival.
As Demy Selem observed in her own confessional, “I think Angelica could definitely be a little obsessive when she comes to guys. Jason may not be the brightest bulb, but the one thing he did right was realize that Angelica’s a little too much right now.”
