Shep Rose has apparently been keeping notes on his castmates Craig Conover and Austen Kroll.
Just several weeks after the Southern Charm Season 11 premiere, the Charleston bachelor revealed how he was already preparing for the post-production reunion special.
“I prep all the time. I have a Season 11 reunion tab,” he said in a recent interview with The Daily Dish. “If I think of something, I write it down. So, I’ve got paragraphs of things. Some thoughts.”
So, what does this so-called “tab” contain? Shep declined to give too much away, but said it included a few notes on a recent exchange between his longtime friends Craig and Austen.

Shep said it all began after Craig learned about his involvement with a restaurant in Charleston.
“Craig reached out. He’s, like, ‘I saw that you’re doing that. I’d love to go try it,’” Shep recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh, cool.’ And I go, ‘Can I invite Austen?’”
Although everyone seemed to be on board with the small get-together, Shep suggested things got a little awkward once Craig and Austen came face to face.
“So, Craig sits down and starts talking and just being Craig,” Shep said. “And then Austen came in later, and it was the Craig and Austen show. The entire dinner. I barely said a word. I was just, like, good grief — these two.”

Again, Shep kept details to a minimum, but said the exchange underscored just how “layered” Craig and Austen’s friendship has become.
It’s no secret that the two have experienced their fair share of ups and downs over the past several years, as they’ve argued about everything from their joint business ventures to differing lifestyle choices. Austen addressed the rocky dynamic during his January appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying the friendship tends to oscillate between “hot and cold.”
Fans got a closer look at the tensions in Southern Charm Season 11, Episode 3, when Craig accused Austen of being “jealous” of his single status.
“Craig, you’ve been locked up for five years, and all of a sudden, he emerges, and he’s f–kin’ having fun,” Austen said, referring to Craig’s breakup with Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo.
“You’re the only unhappy person here ’cause you’re living a lie,” Craig shouted at Austen. “You’re stuck in a relationship. You’re not happy … You told me that you were jealous I was single.”

It was clear there was “long-simmering resentment” between the friends/business partners, and it remains unclear if those issues will ever be resolved.
“I don’t know if we’re ever really getting to the bottom of some of the things,” Shep told The Daily Dish. “But you’re, we’re gonna try.”

So, where does Shep stand with Craig and Austen, individually? Well, it seems his friendships are doing just fine.
“Austen and I, I would say, talk more — I know for a fact, talk more than Austen and Craig do,” Shep said. “Craig and I are in a good spot, though. And we’re on a text chain [with] the whole cast. It’s very positive and fun and playful. That’s really something that hasn’t ever existed before. So everyone’s good.”
