A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old autistic boy who hasn’t been seen since Sunday.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers was last seen on February 25 in the Stafford Court area in Hendersonville, near Beech High School. The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office reports that he could be in the Beech/Shackle Island area near Long Hollow Pike.
On Tuesday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the alert at the request of Sumner County officials, according to the Tennessean. However, there have been little leads to go on.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t had a lot of leads,” Sumner County Emergency Management Agency Director Ken Weidner told the Tennessean.
“We keep expecting someone to pull up with him, hoping that they see him and pull up. That hasn’t happened, so we’re just going to keep grinding it out and keep getting additional resources in here and keep the search ongoing.”
Police said Sebastian is currently without his medication and “all of his shoes are accounted for at his house.”
“We’re concerned about the weather because we don’t know exactly what he’s dressed in and we could have some flurries tomorrow,” Weidner added. “The storm, so the wet, and you lose body temperature 30 times faster when you’re wet than when you’re dry.”
Sebastian is described as a white male who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. He has dirty blonde hair and wears dark-framed glasses. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
