Stephanie Shojaee Reacts to People Calling Her “New Money”

While many people reject the nouveau riche stamp, Stephanie Shojaee has seemingly embraced it.

The business executive shared her thoughts on the label back in June, weeks before her much-anticipated debut on The Real Housewives of Miami. Stephanie caught up with Entertainment Tonight at the Season 7 premiere party, teasing what she would deliver as the only newbie, the advice she received from other Bravolebs, and — as noted by the outlet — “possibly” being “the richest Housewife ever.”

Stephanie Shojaee says she “tends” to flaunt her wealth

“How are you feeling about all the focus on your money?” Stephanie was asked on the red carpet.

“You know, it’s really funny because they say that I’m ‘new money.’ I am!” she said before turning around to show off her Chanel hair accessories. “Can you tell by the clips?

“Listen, I do like to dress expensive,” she continued. “You never really know who’s the richest ’cause you never know who has it and isn’t flaunting it. But I do tend to be one of the ones who flaunts it the most.”

What does Stephanie Shojaee do for a living?

Stephanie shed light on her career in a November 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, shortly after she was announced as RHOM’s newest cast member. The Miami native is the president of Shoma Group, a real estate development company specializing in luxury residential and commercial properties.

“There’s actually not many female real estate developers,” she said. “[My job], it’s the actually buying the land, putting up a high rise, 800 units; or [building] rental communities and building a whole leasing team and developing units. There’s a lot. It’s a lot of fun.”

Stephanie Shojaee dishes about working alongside her husband

Stephanie’s husband, Masoud Shojaee, founded Shoma Group in 1988, about 10 years before he immigrated to the United States from Iran. The company has reportedly built more than 12,000 properties and completed over $6 billion of real estate transactions, most of which have been in the South Florida area.

The Housewife — who earned a marketing degree from Florida State University — joined Shoma Group in 2013 and served as its vice president and chief marketing officer before being appointed as president in 2022. (Masoud is the company’s CEO.)

“Working alongside your husband is not for everybody, and I feel like people are gonna be able to see that relationship outside of the office, which is a beautiful relationship,” she told The Daily Dish. “When I’m not working because I’m a serious workaholic, I like to unwind by going to the culinary scene because my husband and I are huge foodies.”
