It seems like Steven McBee Jr. is having a hard time letting go of his ex, Calah Jackson. Although the pair seems to be officially over, the above first look at The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2, Episode 7 (airing Aug. 11) reveals that Steven is still dealing the fallout of their split.

In the video, we see Steven putting away all of his pictures of Calah that were sprinkled throughout his ranch. In a confessional, the cowboy admits that he’s struggling with the separation.

“This is the longest it’s been since Calah and I haven’t seen each other since we started dating,” Steven says. “Honestly, it’s been hard as hell for me.”

“My family has all their own stuff going on so I can’t really talk to them,” he continues. “Now, Calah and I’s relationship is essentially over. It just feels like something’s missing.”

When says his family has their own “stuff” happening, he is likely referring to Jesse McBee and Alli Ventresca’s upcoming wedding date, Cole McBee and his girlfriend Kacie Adkison’s baby on the way, and his father Steven McBee Sr.’s legal issues.

Calah Jackson opens up about her breakup with Steven McBee Jr.

In Season 2, Episode 6, Calah reflected on her dynamic with Steven after their fight at the Ozarks during Episode 5. Although the pair split in Episode 2, Steven and Calah had been healing their relationship, but, according to Calah, the Episode 5 argument shut down any possibilities for reconciliation.

“Everything that has happened at Lake of the Ozarks was really the final straw for me,” she told a producer during the episode.

“I know that I have given Steven beyond the number of chances that I should have, and to be honest, I was really holding out hope that this weekend [in the Ozarks] would go well, and that we would maybe be able to reconnect, but after this, there’s no way,” Calah continued. “I feel like I’ve been s—t on so much, which is f—king crazy, given that I have literally sacrificed my life to be there with Steven to support him.”

Calah then pointed out how she’d supported her on-and-off boyfriend as he navigated his dad’s legal drama.

“I’ve been the one that’s been helping him through all of this,” she declared. “He would cry to me every single day because he was so scared and stressed … like I know what it’s like to have family going through this whole legal process and so, I just wanted to stay and support him.”

During the episode, Calah also completely moved out of Steven’s home, implying that the pair is over for good.

Inside Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson’s relationship today

In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Steven confirmed that he and Calah are no longer together. “We still talk from time to time … [but] I would say things are not great at this point,” he admitted in the interview.

“I think there’s just been so much damage done that at some point, you just have to say, ‘Hey, I care about you as a person and we had a great run and a great relationship at times, but there’s just too many things to try and undo here; too much damage done to try and patch up and repair,'” he continued. “I’d rather start fresh with someone new than go back trying to fix everything.”

Find out how Steven handles the breakup in The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2, Episode 7, airing Aug. 11. Until then, see what Steven Jr.’s mom, Kristi McBee, thinks about her son’s relationship with Calah.
