The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys’ Steven McBee Jr. has a special message for fans as his father, Steve McBee Sr., serves time in federal prison.
Although it’s not the first time the Missouri-based patriarch sent word from the Yankton, South Dakota, facility since his two-year sentence began on Dec. 1, it may be his last message of 2025. As his son wrote in the caption of a Dec. 30 Instagram video posted to the dad’s page, “2025 has been a year. But we’re looking forward to turning the page and better days ahead. Hope y’all have a great holiday season!”
Steven Jr. said he’d spoken to his dad the previous evening and, “He wanted to make sure that we posted a video saying Merry Christmas to y’all, happy holidays, have a happy new year.”
Through his eldest son, Steve Sr. repeatedly expressed gratitude for the outpouring of letters he’d received during his incarceration, explaining there was a week-long delay with mail coming in and going out. The grandfather promised to respond to each one, and was especially touched by a heartwarming Christmas card from a child in Kansas that made even Steven Jr. “misty-eyed.”
Per the Bravoleb, the uplifting letter contained a message — hearts on the ‘i’s and all — of well wishes and “holiday cheer,” and according to Steven Jr., his father “has it taped to his locker door.”
Steven McBee Jr. shares his plans for the new year
Steven Jr. and his brothers, Jesse McBee, Cole McBee, and Brayden McBee, continue to face the challenges posed by their father’s 2024 conviction for federal crop insurance fraud. But as they grapple with the emotional — and financial — tolls on their family and the McBee Fram & Cattle Co., Steven already has his eyes on the future.

With his new girlfriend, Allie Eklund, by his side, Steven told The Daily Dish at BravoCon 2025 that he “got an early start” on his New Year’s resolutions.
“Other than that, [I] have some big goals for my fitness side of things,” he continued, “and then really just continue to pour into my family and continue to pour into quality time spent with them and see how this ride goes.”
When pressed for specifics, the entrepreneur said his “body fat goals” were to bring his 7.7 percent body fat down to an even seven. “I would like to see if I can beat that,” he said.
