Steven McBee Jr. Shares Business Update Before Dad’s Sentencing

Steven McBee Jr. of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys continues to bare it all when it comes to the mounting legal and financial troubles faced by the family business.

The acting head of McBee Farm & Cattle apprised Bravo’s The Daily Dish with the latest after Season 2, reporting things have been somewhat improving since he told brothers Cole McBee and Jesse McBee that their father was under FBI investigation on the finale.

“We’re not out of the woods yet,” Steven began. “It’s still a challenge each and every day, but we’re in a much better position than we were in during Season 2.”

“To say there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we actually have a path to saving the farm felt like a fever dream at one point — but it’s there and we can see it getting brighter and brighter every single day,” he concluded.

How the McBee family is keeping their businesses afloat after Season 2

Since the Season 2 finale, the hard-working family hasn’t slowed on the farm and ranch front. They’ve even branched out beyond what audiences saw on the series, from their Missouri-Arkansas chain of carwashes to big-money brisket contracts.

Beef jerky has also become a significant source of income for the fam. As Steven Jr. previously told The Daily Dish, “We’re making about a million snack sticks a month.”

Additionally, Steven hopes to open their stunning family farm to the public: “We’re working on making this farm a tourist destination with on-site farm visits, cabin stays, and tours, where we can give back to those that have helped us save it through supporting us and give everyone that wants the chance to come live the simple life on the farm, even just if for a couple of days.”

“Continuing to work together as a family, I have no doubts we will get to the other side and be able to save the family farm for the next generation to enjoy,” Steven concluded, making a reference to Cole and Kacie Adkison’s daughter, Blair Collins McBee, and Jesse and Alli Ventresca’s daughter, Summer Leigh McBee.

How the McBees are preparing for Steve Sr.’s sentencing

Steve McBee Sr., who was mostly absent from the series’ second season, is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to federal charges related to a multi-million-dollar crop insurance scam in November 2024.

Steven Jr. acknowledged the upcoming sentencing hearing when speaking to The Daily Dish, noting, “We’re ready to get past that day, deal with whatever comes of it, and move on, to say the least. We know no matter what, if we stick together as a family, we’ll make it through anything.”

Steve Sr.’s sentencing has been moved several times, though it is currently reportedly slated for October 16. He faces up to 30 years behind bars.
