The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke has an update about her relationship with her ex-husband Christian Stracke following the bombshell revelation on the Season 15 premiere that he recently had their marriage annulled in the eyes of the Catholic Church, when they’ve already been divorced for nearly 10 years.
For starters, Sutton shared Christian’s reasoning for the annulment. “The reason that he gave me was that he thought it would make us better friends,” she said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish. “Yeah, I thought that was a very interesting reason.”
Erika Jayne and Sutton’s mother Reba Brown saw things differently, though. The latter even expressed on the RHOBH Season 15 premiere that the move might have been a way for Sutton’s ex to send the message, “You don’t matter.”
Needless to say, Sutton wasn’t thrilled with Christian — whom she shares three adult children with — at the time. However, things are better between the two today.

Where does Sutton Stracke stand with her ex-husband Christian after their divorce?
“We’re good,” Sutton told The Daily Dish. “He lives in London, so, I don’t see him on the regular, but he sent our youngest to college, and we spent that weekend together, and we had a really great time. Even after we got him to his dorm, we had drinks by ourselves, just to kind of talk about the future of our children and what we’re gonna do there, and so we’re still very much intertwined and always will be. I think we finally made it to the friendship part of divorce.”

Sutton has dealt with the aftermath of her and Christian’s marriage, as well as their 2016 divorce, throughout her tenure on RHOBH. For instance, on Season 14, Episode 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, she described previously setting boundaries to give Christian less free rein of their home.
My therapist, when I was in separation, she told me to change the locks,” Sutton admitted. “It took me years to do it. She was like, ‘You need to change the locks. He cannot just walk into your house anymore.'”
Sutton’s former best friend Garcelle Beauvais and Jennifer Tilly agreed with the sound advice.
More recently, Sutton shared details about why she and Christian couldn’t make their marriage work. As she explained on the Season 13 premiere, “When my ex-husband and I got married, we were on equal footing.” However, according to the Southern belle and fashion designer, that changed when she became pregnant with her and Christian’s first child, Porter, and she swapped her career for a role as a real-life housewife.
As Sutton put it, “My power diminished. It became, ‘Here’s your allowance.’”
