Jennifer Tilly made a strong statement on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show when she declared she believes Sutton Stracke misses her ex-husband, Christian. Sutton, however, set the record straight with a resounding “no.”
“I don’t miss him,” Sutton pronounced, and went on to explain why Jennifer got it wrong. “Jennifer was always very pro-Christian, and was always saying, ‘I think Christian still loves you. I think that y’all are gonna get back together.’ She kind of fed that in me, that idea.”
Despite Sutton’s words, Jennifer shared her reasoning for her belief. “I don’t think he will ever love anybody as much as he loved Sutton. And still does love Sutton. Even when they were separated or going through the divorce, he was always checking in on her, and she would have a problem, and she’d call him, and he’d call somebody, and he’d make it better,” she said.
The conversation comes as Sutton revealed during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 premiere that Christian filed to annul their marriage with the Catholic Church, leaving Sutton devastated and their relationship fractured. “When I spoke to my ex about that, he said that he thought this would make us become better friends,” she told producers at the time, and later added, “Of course, I disagreed.”
Where Sutton Stracke and her ex-husband Christian stand today
Sutton came to a painful realization about her relationship with Christian amid the annulment filing. “I always felt that I could get Christian back whenever I wanted to. I think I realized he is not going to take me back,” she admitted during Season 15, Episode 11. “It’s over.”
Sutton detailed her long history with her ex during the After Show, and conceded they did have good moments. “Christian and I have known each other since I was 13. And like, his love was very passionate for me. So, I have experienced that kind of love,” she told Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne.
Despite the annulment setback, Sutton opened up about where she and her ex stand today. “We had to work very hard,” she said on the After Show of being willing to celebrate moments like her son James’ high school graduation with Christian. “Like how long it took me to do family stuff with him…where now I’m like, ‘Okay, I can handle it now.’”
However, those moments do make her reminisce for what her life used to be. “It’s really about the children. I think more than anything, it’s really like, you want that unit back,” she shared.
Sutton also revealed that her children are coping well with the divorce and annulment. “They’re not sad about their parents. They all kind of understand,” she said. “That we are not supposed to live in the same house together.”

With the news of the annulment came the notion that Sutton would now by known by her maiden name, Brown, according to the Catholic Church. This prompted Sutton to take action “in the next couple of months” to legally change her name back to Brown as well.
“It’s gonna take a lot,” she pointed out on the After Show. “It’s a lot of paperwork.”
Sutton previously explained another reason to change her name: She hoped to spark a change in her friendships with the other ‘Wives. “Let’s just have a reset,” she said. “I’ve gone back to that old self, and let me take you all with me.”
