Having gone 12 years without speaking to each other, Tamra Judge had plenty to discuss with Gretchen Rossi on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19. But the topic that perhaps got her most heated involved her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney.
Prior to the face-to-face confrontation on Episode 2, Tamra mentioned to mutual friend Heather Dubrow that Gretchen had been “contacting” her daughter (whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Barney).
“Sidney posted something about me, and Gretchen started communicating with her,” Tamra elaborated in a confessional, as an image of her Facebook post flashed on the screen. “That is one of the lowest, most disgusting things you can do: involve somebody’s child.”
After her and Gretchen’s friendly reintroduction at Katie Ginella’s hot pot lunch escalated, Tamra brought up her contacting Sidney. An argument ensued about whether or not commenting on a social media post constituted formal contact.
“It’s not the same thing,” Gretchen insisted. “You really wanna play this game? Because it’s not the same thing. I made a comment on a public Facebook post that your daughter made.”
Tamra, meanwhile, alleged that Simon had actually written the post, prompting Gretchen to fire back, “That’s what you always do. You always blame it on somebody else. Your daughter even came out after you said that and said, ‘My mom is lying. This is my account. I made the post.'”

Even still, Tamra maintained that was “not true.”
“Well, that’s what she did, and I have all the proof of it,” Gretchen responded. “So, you can spin your little lies and do all of your manipulation, like you always do. You are the liar beyond liars.”

The two also sparred over Tamra’s decade-plus-old allegation that Gretchen’s partner, Slade Smiley, was a “deadbeat dad” and whether not they had each planted stories or talked negatively about the other in the press.
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, Tamra shared her initial reaction to Gretchen dwelling on the past.Â
“Oh god, this girl has not grown at all,” she said. “It’s really sad. Like, she’s really still stuck in 2010 or wherever it was, you know? I keep growing and thriving and building businesses and all this and she’s still stuck on, ‘You called Slade a deadbeat dad.’ I’m like, girl, listen — why are you even talking about this because all they’re gonna do is flash back to all this stuff, and it’s not gonna be pretty for you.”

Generally speaking, she also couldn’t quite wrap her head around why Gretchen and Slade — who referred to Tamra as “Captain Evil” on Episode 2 — were “so stuck in the past,” especially amid their successful relationship and raising their 6-year-old daughter, Skylar Gray.
“I don’t focus on Gretchen Rossi, but for 12 years since she’s been fired, she talks about me constantly,” the RHOC ‘Wife added, repeating her claim that Gretchen “reached out” to Sidney. “I’m like, girl, I don’t even remember what I had for lunch last week.”
Why Tamra Judge wants to “move forward” with Gretchen Rossi
Despite all of that, Tamra still told Gretchen on RHOC‘s July17 episode that she hoped they could “move forward” and be friendly again: “You’ve been hurt; I’ve been hurt. And I don’t want to continue to go forward like this.”
Gretchen responded, “It’s just about having accountability for the things that happened. … You and I need to talk ’cause I think that you and I have a disagreement about where we feel like that level is.”
Revealing that she was “very open” to having a one-on-one with Gretchen, Tamra replied, “I agree with that. But you can’t, like, hold onto that s–t. It, like, kills you.”
Gretchen, for her part, cast some doubt on whether or not she and Tamra could actually start fresh, however.
“I don’t think that Tamra’s ever going to have true friendships until she can actually recognize what she’s done to harm people,” she declared in a confessional. “And until I feel like I get that from her, I don’t really know if I wanna move on.”
