Tamra Judge reunited with Katie Ginella on The Real Housewives of Orange County — even though her castmates were against the meetup — and insisted that she had a good reason for doing so.
On the heels of Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley’s recent allegations that Tamra had an “affair” with a boy bander roughly 15 years ago, she had a renewed interest in getting to the bottom of other accusations that came to light in New Orleans. So, Tamra reached out to Katie, and the two got together during RHOC Season 19, Episode 14.
“I’m just trying to figure out what the truth is,” Tamra explained to fellow “odd man out” Katie, following the latter’s departure from the group.
In a confessional, Tamra acknowledged her recent issues with Katie, elaborating, “What she did wasn’t right, but I don’t think that Katie’s, like, some sociopath liar. She apologized to me and she’s being honest to me. So, I’m gonna take that for what it is and hear her story.”

During their meeting, Katie doubled down on her claim that “Gretchen lied” when she denied allegedly telling her, Matt Ginella, Jennifer Pedranti, and Ryan Boyajian, an off-camera story involving Tamra from the past. What’s more, she accused Slade of citing a possible “legal issue” if Katie didn’t “stick to the story” that he and Gretchen had allegedly concocted. She even showed Tamra her text messages to Gretchen that she believed proved her version of events to be true.
“Everything they’re saying I’m doing to them, they’re doing to me,” Tamra concluded of Gretchen and Slade at the end of her and Katie’s get-together. “I really thought me and Gretchen made up, but the lies that they tell are nonstop, and I’m tired of it.”

After meeting with Katie, Tamra told Jenn during Emily Simpson’s fundraising event, later on RHOC‘s Oct. 9 episode, that their sitdown “went well” and she left feeling “validated.”
As her castmates struggled to make sense of why Tamra suddenly trusted Katie, especially after her “failed” polygraph test, a producer similarly asked, “Why is Katie credible to you now, after all the issues you had with her previously?”
Tamra’s response? “The more time that went on, I started thinking, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, Gretchen and Jenn set her up.’ And now that Jenn and Gretchen have shown Katie they’re not on her side, Katie’s not sticking up for them anymore. And she’s telling me truly what happened.”

On The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, Tamra further defended her decision to meet with Katie, adding, “I wanted to know what else was said, how it was said, how it was presented, who heard it…”
That’s when Emily interjected to ask why Tamra would “believe anything that comes out of Katie’s mouth.”
“Because I think there’s certain things you just don’t pull out of your a–hole,” Tamra reasoned. “I think Gretchen absolutely told her that.”
Amid more pushback, Tamra continued, “I’m pretty good at pulling apart the bulls–t. I wanted to hear what she had to say because at that point, I’m like, if these things are being said about me… It’s clearly a lie, but if it’s being put out there, like, people will believe that. I have businesses.”

Elsewhere on the RHOC After Show, Katie also shared her feelings on her and Tamra’s controversial conversation.Â
“I’m extremely happy I did that meetup with Tamra because not only does it feel good that somebody’s reaching out — even if it’s because we have something in common now — but that somebody believes me,” Katie shared.
As she continued a bit later, “Her saying, ‘I believe you,’ that meant a lot to me because this whole time it’s been, ‘You’re a liar.’ She’s like, ‘I believe you,’ and I’m like, ‘Good, because it’s the f–king truth.'”
