Tamra Judge’s honest conversation with Eddie Judge about her drinking on The Real Housewives of Orange County gave a rare look inside some of the more sobering issues in their marriage.
When a producer brought up their scene from Season 19, Episode 15 on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, Tamra admitted that she didn’t even remember their chat (more details on that below) but confirmed that neither she nor Eddie “party and drink” very often.
“I don’t even remember the last time we partied and drank,” she added in the above clip. “No, Eddie and I are not big partiers or drinkers… We have alcohol in the house, but it’s probably been there for, like, I don’t know how many years.”

After castmate Gina Kirschenheiter brought up that “people are very surprised” when she tells them that “Tamra doesn’t even drink,” Tamra elaborated that they don’t even “order wine or anything like that” at dinner, unless maybe they’re out at a nice restaurant with another couple. Even then, she said Eddie usually will only get one glass of red wine, citing his “heart issues.”
“That’s it. Not partiers. We’re in bed by 8,” Tamra continued. “Why go drink and be an a—–e, when you’re not even normally like that? … Now, I’m at a point where I, like, don’t even desire it.”
Tamra and Eddie Judge discuss a “problem” in their marriage
Tamra and Eddie’s frank conversation about their marriage occurred during a dinner date on RHOC‘s Oct. 16 episode. When Tamra asked what it would mean for them if her daughter Sopia Barney relocated to Los Angeles for music school, her husband of 12 years brought up their prior discussions about “moving out of state.”
Tamra, for her part, remarked that it felt like they were making “plans for death,” before joking that she might “kill” Eddie because the sounds of him chewing and whistling “annoy” her.
“You don’t like it? Put some earplugs in,” Eddie playfully clapped back, before adding, “That’s not always a good way to react.”
After the RHOC ‘Wife insisted that he was “the a—–e” in the situation, he struck a more serious tone, asking, “Do you think we have a problem?”
Tamra’s response? “I think that our problem is we don’t communicate, and then it all explodes at once. I always say we have one good fight about every six months.”

As Eddie saw it, “The way you talk to me is what sets me off. Usually, you’re drunk and that makes you come at me.”
That prompted her to ask if he thought she had “a drinking problem,” to which Eddie replied, “For our relationship purposes, you should never drink. You should be able to come to me and talk to me about what’s hurting you…”
Tamra cut him off to say that was “never gonna happen,” before explaining in a confessional, “I tend to pull away when things are hurting me, and Eddie gets really annoyed with it. He’s like, ‘Just ask me for help.’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t want anybody to help me.’ I’ve always been like that.”
As Eddie concluded, “I’m not like that either. I come from the school of hard knocks too. It’s not good. I live my life about improving everything I do.”

Earlier on Episode 15, Tamra attended a pre-wedding celebration for Jennifer Pedranti, and party host Shannon Storms Beador suggested that all the women “go around the table and give Jenn their most sound wedding advice.”
When it was her turn to speak, Tamra pointed out the major contrast in her marriages to Eddie and ex-husband Simon Barney, who divorced her in 2011.
“Your second wedding … or marriage, you already know what not to do,” Tamra told Jenn. “Simon and I used to fight crazy and say mean things to each other. And [with] Eddie, I’m like, ‘We will not get mad and say mean things, because you can’t really take your words back.'”
