Years after her breast explant surgery, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom confirmed she underwent another breast augmentation to fix a “deformity.” Tamra dropped the news during the September 17 episode of Two Ts in a Pod, explaining why she broke her previous pledge to never put implants back in her body.
Tamra Judge explains her decision to get a breast augmentation
“So, I have had my 100th breast surgery. I did it for a couple reasons,” she told her co-host, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp. “I had what was called an ‘animation deformity.’ I did it because I couldn’t wear low-cut shirts because I had a line, a crease that went through both sides of my boobs. So it started to look like I had two boobs on each side, if that makes sense. Like a double bubble on each side.”

Tamra’s implant surgery was performed by Dr. Donny Mowlds, the same plastic surgeon who did her brow lift and CO2 laser treatment in 2024. The RHOC cast member said she texted Dr. Donny ahead of the podcast episode and received a straightforward explanation on the “deformity” caused by her previous breast implants.
“My peck muscle detached from my chest and was up towards my shoulder,” Tamra said. “I’ll tell you, it didn’t hurt, but this is something that happens sometimes when you have the kind of breast implants I had: one partially under the muscle. When my implants were removed… the muscle, which is still attached to the skin on top, was creating a pool, or what you can call an animation deformity.”
Tamra said the condition is mostly seen in physically active women like herself.
“I do a lot of chest exercises, and it was starting to get worse,” she explained. “The treatment that I had was to sew the muscle back to my chest, then carefully… yes, I did it, guys, I put a 150 cc (cubic centimeter) implant to give me a little bit of lift.”
Why Tamra Judge vowed never to get implants again
Tamra said she got the implants on July 14, roughly five years after she decided to get rid of her previous implants due to health concerns.
“I vowed never to do implants again,” she admitted. “Now these are new implants, because I had mine originally removed five years ago. I was having autoimmune issues and all kinds of things… I don’t know if it was a placebo effect or my mind or whatever, but I took them out, and I felt like I was so much better.”

Tamra Judge says her new breasts “look beautiful”
Tamra said Dr. Donny initially wanted to put 250 cc implants in Tamra, but determined her ribcage was “too narrow” for that size. So, he tried multiple implants before going with 150 ccs.
“He’s like, ‘I’ve never put that small of implants in anybody,’” Tamra recalled. “[They’re] very small, just perky, a little bit perkiness on top. They are not under my muscle. They are on top of my muscle. They look beautiful.”
Tamra said she has no regrets about getting implants again and feels much more confident these days.
“I can wear low-cut shirts,” she told Teddi. “I don’t have this gaping hole before.”
