The most recent phase of Tamra Judge’s “apology tour” on The Real Housewives of Orange County involved repairing her fractured friendship with Shannon Storms Beador — but Tamra’s daughter, Sophia Barney, candidly warned her that she might not be going about a potential reconciliation in the best way.

While packing for a quick getaway to Temecula, Calif., on Season 19, Episode 10, Tamra explained to Sophia how Shannon had been “hot and cold” with her since the cast trip to New Orleans. That’s when she pulled out a self-help book, titled How Not to Be a Miserable Cow, to gift Shannon in case things went sideways on the trip.

“You can’t help yourself,” 19-year-old Sophia replied, before pointing out, “It’s a passive aggressive self-help book.”

Undeterred, Tamra went on to highlight how she’d even selected a large print edition for Shannon.

“This is just diss after diss,” Sophia declared with a laugh. “You can’t help but be petty.”

Why Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador went on a trip together while feuding

Prior to her receiving Sophia’s honest feedback on the subject, Tamra explained to Shannon on a video call why she was inviting her on the Temecula trip, along with Gina Kirschenheiter and Jennifer Pedranti.

Despite making some progress in New Orleans, Tamra said that she felt they “went backwards a little bit” after returning home to Orange County. “I think it’d be great to just reunite and have some fun,” she said.

In a confessional, Tamra admitted that her “delivery was very harsh” with Shannon last year, adding, “And I feel bad about that. But there’s so much history there that I don’t like to throw away friendships that are that deep. I will wine you, I will dine you, I will do anything if you just stop holding a grudge.”

Even so, Shannon remained “hesitant” to officially accept Tamra’s invitation.

“My concern in going on the trip is I don’t know which Tamra I’m going to get,” she elaborated to a producer. “Am I gonna laugh like I did in New Orleans with her? Or is it gonna be another hurtful argument? Which one?”

Sitting down with Gina and Jenn later on, Shannon went on to share that she had no desire to “pursue the old friendship again” with Tamra. After consulting with her therapist, though, she decided to go on the trip, even if just to “have fun” with Gina and Jenn.

Once the four women completed their laughter-filled drive to a private resort and vineyard in nearby Temecula, Shannon and Tamra started off on a positive note — in Tamra’s eyes, at least.

While sampling some wines, she exclaimed, “I’m so glad Shannon likes me now,” to which her former “Tres Amigas” counterpart replied, “That makes me feel very uncomfortable.”

During some one-on-one time with Jenn afterward, Shannon further revealed, “I’m never gonna forget what happened last year. When she says, ‘You like me now!’ I don’t know how to react to that.”

When the women reconvened for dinner, the focus temporarily shifted to Tamra’s drama with Jenn. The conversation ultimately began to turn heated, prompting Shannon to enter the fray.

“You know what, Tamra? You don’t wanna take accountability for what you do,” Shannon contended. “You go so low when you’re mad. And we all need to say, ‘It’s OK. Tamra can go low because that’s just who she is.’ I don’t go that low … but you do.”

As tempers flared, the two briefly went back and forth about their past history, before Shannon eventually fired back, “You have not been in my life for a year, and I’ve never been better without you in my life.” She further accused Tamra of trying to “come after” her, despite the “hard last year” she had.

Tamra, for her part, replied that she was “happy” that Shannon felt better than ever, reasoning that their previous clashes stemmed from her own “hurt” over thinking they were closer than they apparently turned out to be. Insisting that she didn’t want to “go backwards,” Tamra made a slight pivot to share that she and Gina had been “concerned” about Shannon’s recent behavior.

Right after Gina entered the chat, however, a “To Be Continued…” graphic appeared on screen.

As you await the conversation’s continuation, take a sneak peek at more explosive drama that’s still to come for Tamra, Shannon, and their RHOC castmates on Season 19.
