Teacher, ‘Religious Ambassador’ Allegedly Records 28 Sex Videos with Teen Boy – Crime Online

A Florida teacher who served as a “religious ambassador” is accused of recording dozens of sex videos with an underage student.

Authorities say that between June and September of 2023, Marie-Jo Gordo and the student had sex throughout Florida in hotels and vehicles.

Investigators believe that Gordo recorded the sex acts on her phone and then sent the videos to the teen. Detectives have identified “approximately 28 videos” depicting sexual activity between the pair, including one video that allegedly spans more than 13 minutes.

The student’s age has not been disclosed, but he is younger than 18, according to court records reviewed by CrimeOnline. In 2019, Gordo was the boy’s eighth-grade teacher and served as his “religious ambassador,” court records state. Authorities did not detail Gordo’s age in public documents.

Police became aware of the relationship in September when the teen’s parents contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and provided investigators with their son’s phone, which contained videos of him and Gordo having sex.

Gordo resigned from an unnamed charter school in June. She later got a job as an art teacher at another school with students between kindergarten and eighth grade, according to the criminal complaint. Police arrested her in October.

This week, Gordo was indicted on three counts of sexually exploiting a minor and was in court Thursday for an arraignment. If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison for each count, for a total of 90 years, according to WKMG-TV.

Gordo has been released from custody.
