Teddi Mellencamp is sharing new updates on all of her kids as they celebrate some major milestones.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has three children with her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave, — 12-year-old daughter Slate, 11-year-old son Cruz, and 5-year-old daughter Dove. Edwin also has a 15-year-old daughter, Isabella Arroyave, from his first marriage.Â
Teddi celebrated Cruz’s 11th birthday on Aug. 21, taking to Instagram, where she posted a series of photos, both old and new, from the past decade of her son’s life. Teddi also posted a current photo of her, Edwin, and their children, surrounding Cruz in their family home as he held onto a “Happy Birthday” balloon.
“Happy 11th birthday to the best boy,” Teddi wrote in the caption of the post. “Cruz’s hair may have changed through the years, but his heart and soul are as sweet and strong as ever.”
“Love you so much, Chow,” she added. “Hope this isn’t the year that you decide you no longer want to be Mom’s cuddle bug.”
Teddi had previously taken to Instagram on Aug. 19, where she revealed that Cruz had celebrated his birthday early with friends at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. “If there’s one thing Cruz loves almost as much as football, it’s [Six Flags Magic Mountain],” she wrote in the caption of the post.
Teddi Mellencamp celebrates Dove Arroyave entering kindergarten
Teddi’s youngest daughter, Dove, was also celebrated this week, when she finally got to meet her Kindergarten teachers. Teddi took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a video of her talking to Dove, who wore the cutest dress, black patent leather shoes, and tiara, which she picked out herself.
“Dove, is today the day you meet your teachers?” Teddi asked. “Are you excited?”
“Yes,” Dove said in reply to both questions.

“What grade are you going to be in?” Teddi asked.
“Kinder!” Dove replied.Â
Teddi then proceeded to post two photos. One, showing off Dove’s super stylish outfit, and another of her and Dove outside of the school as Teddi wrapped her arms around her.
Teddi Mellencamp shares how her kids bring her “joy” amid cancer battle
During an appearance on the podcast, The Jamie Kern Lima Show, on Aug. 12, Teddi admitted that her kids are bringing her the “most joy” right now, amidst her divorce and her battle with Stage 4 cancer. Teddi noted that she loves watching her kids “mature into the human beings that they are.”
“It’s really the small things, like Cruz and I started watching a show that he really likes,” she continued. “And so, once a week, he’ll remember the day it comes on and he’ll be like, ‘It’s our show night, we’re watching it.’ And it’ll be like, 5:40 p.m.”

“I get a lot of joy out of watching Slate ride [horses],” she added. “I’m getting a lot of joy out of swimming and also swimming with Dove. I get a lot of joy out of seeing Bella become an adult. Like, that’s bananas to me.”
“It’s just the time really flies,” she concluded. “And I think you really do have to appreciate the time that we do have because no matter where you are in your life, it’s going by fast.”
