Teddi Mellencamp from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is choosing to enter a new year with gratitude and grace amid navigating her battle with stage 4 cancer. Teddi took to Instagram to share a few milestones from her 2025 health journey, from post-op moments to ringing the bell after completing radiation treatment, along with a bunch of photos with those she loves the most.
“2025 was not my year. Near-death has that effect on you,” she confessed in the New Year’s Day post. “But as I close it out, I’m trying my best to be grateful for every moment that I’ve been blessed to have been given since.”
She continued, “I’m not sure what 2026 will hold, but I know that I will never stop sharing with you the good, the bad, and the ugly. Being open and vulnerable helps me cope; and hopefully helps even one of you know you’re not alone in what life has you facing.”
Teddi, who was initially diagnosed with melanoma (skin cancer) in 2022 before it metastasized to her lungs and brain, in a separate Jan. 1 Instagram post, touched on the importance of “grace,” her word for the new year. “Grace for myself. Grace for others. Grace even when my mind is telling me to offer anything but,” she wrote alongside camera shots from BravoCon 2025. “2025 was hard. 2026 I’m choosing grace.”

“Some days are definitely better than others,” she admitted during a Q&A session on Instagram Stories last November. “And you don’t see all the times I’m laying in bed unable to do much. Don’t be afraid to let people know how you’re feeling and don’t feel guilty if you need to rest.”
Teddi has been candid about how her health struggles have impacted her everyday life, including co-hosting her and The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge’s podcast, Two Ts In A Pod. What’s more, tending to the needs of her and Edwin Arroyave’s children, Slate, 13, Cruz, 11, Dove, 5, and stepdaughter Bella, 17, had also taken a hit, she revealed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast on July 29. “I mean, she has hard days, you know, when she feels very down, where she doesn’t have the energy, and then other days, she pulls it together, and she’s great, she’s doing her podcast, still killing it with that, and still working, but it’s hard,” Kyle revealed. “It’s hard, even though she’s cancer-free now, now she’s trying to get her life back.”
Kyle also revealed a bit about a conversation she had with Teddi around BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, pushing her BFF to fight through the downtimes. As Kyle explained, “She was really nervous to go to BravoCon because she said, ‘You know what, I don’t have the energy,’ and I said, ‘Everyone gets the energy once you’re in Vegas; it’s contagious.’”
In fact, BravoCon 2025 was a big one for Teddi, as it included Teddi’s long-awaited reconciliation with RHOC‘s Vicki Gunvalson.
