Teen Boys Argue Over Gifts on Christmas Eve, One of Them Guns Down Older Sister – Crime Online

Two teen brothers argued on Christmas Eve over how many gifts they were getting, and when their 23-year-old sister intervened, the youngest, 14, shot and killed her.

His older brother, just 15, then shot the 14-year-old in the stomach, Bay News 9 reported.

The younger boy was taken to a hospital, where he had surgery, and was later charged with first degree murder and being a delinquent in possession of a firearm. The older boy was charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told WTSP that the argument started at the boys’ home, with the younger child angry that his brother was getting more. The boys continued fighting as they went to their grandmother’s house, where their sister, Abrielle Baldwin, was leaving her two young children while she went to work.

Once there, the younger boy reported pulled out his gun and threatened to shoot his brother in the head, Gualtieri said. An uncle separ

Their sister, Abrielle Baldwin, was killed when she told the boys to “chill out,” Gualtieri told WTSP.

The 14-year-old, Demarcus Coley, was not happy with the amount of presents his 15-year-old brother, Darcus Coley, was getting from their mom. The argument continued to the boys’ grandmother’s house, where the sister’s kids were going to stay while she went to work.

At the house, the boys continued to argue, with the 14-year-old pulling out his gun and pointing at his brother’s head. An uncle separated the boys and took the younger child outside, where Baldwin was carrying her 11-month-old baby in a carrier. “Chill out,” she told the boy, who promptly shot her, the sheriff said. The baby was not hurt.

Seeing his sister shot, the 15-year-old pulled out his gun and shot his brother.

Gualtieri said the number of teen with illegal guns in his county is out of control, Bay News 9 said.

“These young kids, 14-15 years old, routinely carry firearms,” Gualtieri said. ”And this is what happens when you got young delinquents.

“They carry guns, they get upset, they don’t know how to handle things so they just take out their guns and start shooting each other, and one of them kills his sister.”
