Teen Stabbed to Death Near Upscale Houston Mall – Crime Online

A 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the area of Houston’s upscale Galleria Saturday morning, possibly over a bag.

Houston Assistant Police Chief Wyatt Martin said an off-duty sergeant working security in the area was flagged down just after 11 a.m. and told about two women fighting.

At 11:15, he found the teen on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds. Medical personnel arrived a few minutes later and pronounced the girl dead.

Martin said the suspect in the stabbing was in her mid- to upper 20s and was last seen wearing a brown jacket and brown leggings. She was riding a blue bicycle at the time of the incident, but police later found the bike abandoned.

Investigators are looking for surveillance video that may show the time of the incident, and they aren’t certain that robbery was the motive.

Martin said police don’t know if there was any relationship between the suspect and victim.
