Teen who killed his mom, stepdad to fund presidential assassination plot pleads guilty to intentional homicide

WAUKESHA, Wis. (TCN) — An 18-year-old man has pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional homicide for killing his mother and stepfather and then reportedly stealing money from them to fund a plot to assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the government.

The Associated Press reports Nikita Casap pleaded guilty to the two counts in exchange for prosecutors dropping seven additional charges. Each count carries a life prison sentence. Dismissed charges include theft, hiding a corpse, and operating a motor vehicle without consent, WISN reports.

On Feb. 28, 2025, the bodies of Tatiana Casap, 35, and Donald Mayer, 51, were found after family members requested a welfare check, according to the AP. Mayer had not been to work, and Nikita Casap had not been at school for about two weeks.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by the AP, Nikita Casap reportedly shot his mother and Mayer around Feb. 11, 2025. He stayed in the home with their decomposing corpses for weeks before stealing jewelry, a gun, passports, and $14,000 in cash, then leaving in Mayer’s SUV along with the family dog. He was arrested in Kansas on Feb. 28, 2025. CrimeOnline reports Casap was tracked via the car’s GPS.

The bodies of Mayer and Tatiana Casap had reportedly decomposed so much that they had to be identified through dental records.

A federal search warrant revealed Nikita Casap had written a three-page manifesto praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and advocating for assassinating Trump and overthrowing the government. According to the warrant, “The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carrying out his plan,” the AP reports. The warrant also revealed he had shared the plan with others on Telegram and TikTok, including a Russian speaker.

In addition to the manifesto, the AP reports the warrant uncovered drones and explosives purchased by Nikita Casap.

Casap is scheduled to be sentenced on March 5, according to the AP.
