Teresa Giudice Admits to Watching Next Gen NYC Cast on Home Camera

Before Gia Giudice hosted her Next Gen NYC castmates for a pool party at her family’s New Jersey home on Episode 3 of the show, her mother, Teresa Giudice, dove into some ground rules, first.

How to Watch

Watch Next Gen NYC on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom — who was “so upset” she would not be present for Gia’s event — warned her that, “if anybody gets drunk,” they should be prohibited from driving home.

“I don’t even think any of them really have cars because they all live in the city,” Gia responded, adding that “obviously, no one is allowed on the trampoline,” either.

“You know I have cameras outside, right?” Teresa replied. “I’ll be watching you guys.”

She wasn’t joking: Later, Teresa FaceTimed Gia mid-party as she prepared homemade pizzas with Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy. “I was watching you guys through the cameras,” the RHONJ cast member revealed, to which her daughter (with ex-husband Joe Giudice) playfully shot back, “You’re a weirdo.”

Teresa Giudice weighs in on Gia Giudice’s pool party

Though it’s unclear if Teresa spotted Ava Dash and Charlie Zakkour breaking the no trampoline rule, Gia’s eagle-eyed mom had some thoughts about her party choices.

The best-selling cookbook author may have been excited that Gia hired a psychic to read tarot cards, but she pointed out that the 24 year old didn’t “know how to make pizzas.” As Teresa watched the culinary activity from afar via the video call, she questioned Gia’s methods, explaining that “it’s easier” if you put the uncooked dough on “the wooden thing” (i.e. the peel) before adding the toppings.

“That’s how Louie does it,” Teresa said, of course referring to her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, prompting Gia to respond, “Well, we didn’t do it that way.”

Gia Giudice reveals plans to move out of Teresa Giudice’s home

Earlier in Next Gen NYC‘s June 17 episode, Gia said she is “for sure gonna move out” of her mom and Louie’s sprawling Garden State home — but most likely won’t be crossing a bridge or tunnel into Manhattan.

“I don’t think I ever want to move into the city,” the 2023 Rutgers University graduate explained in a confessional. “It’s beautiful from an aerial view, beautiful when you take photos, but it doesn’t smell nice. It’s literally just gross.”

She also reasoned that “there’s taxes in the city on literally everything,” whereas there are “no taxes in Jersey.” (An onscreen graphic fact-check her that “New Jersey has the second highest average property taxes in the country,” however.)

How Teresa Giudice feels about Gia Giudice’s Next Gen NYC journey

Previously in Episode 2, Teresa and Gia dined with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks and her son, Brooks Marks, who explained that the families had been friends for three years. What’s more, he said that Gia had been his “walking stick for navigating what it’s like having a mom as a Housewife,” after RHOSLC debuted in November 2020.

“She’ll always have your back,” Teresa told Brooks of her daughter, before adding, “I’m happy that you and Brooks have each other. I want you guys to always be friends and always be there for each other.”

During an exclusive, pre-premiere chat with BravoTV.com, Teresa also shared that she was thrilled about Gia joining Next Gen NYC. “I’m excited for her. I’m so excited. I’ve filmed a few scenes with her so far. I think it’s been amazing,” she teased, at the time. “I feel like the show is gonna be a hit, so I can’t wait to watch it.”

As you learn more about her life today on Next Gen NYC, don’t miss what Gia spilled about Teresa’s reaction to her plastic surgery decision.
