WILMER, Texas (TCD) — Officials believe a 38-year-old man kidnapped his 10-year-old son, who went missing after the boy’s mother was found dead inside her home.
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, the Wilmer Police Department announced an Amber Alert went out for Ian Aguilar, who was last seen the day prior at approximately 7:30 a.m. Police believe Ian Aguilar’s father, Juan Aguilar-Cano, abducted him and that Ian Aguilar is in “grave or immediate danger.”
They were last seen driving in a tan Chevrolet Tahoe. Wilmer Police said in an update law enforcement officials located the car, but Ian Aguilar and Juan Aguilar-Cano were not there.
According to NBC DFW, the car was found at a Tornado Bus Company stop in Houston. The bus company reportedly runs several lines to Mexico.
Juan Aguilar-Cano is reportedly also believed to be involved in the death of Ian Aguilar’s mother. KDFW-TV identified the mother as Zuleika Lopez. Lopez’s adult daughter reportedly became worried when Lopez failed to show up for work. When she went to Lopez’s house, she found her mother deceased inside.
One neighbor told KDFW, “The cops came out crying, so it had to have been a really brutal murder.”
