Texas Woman Who Stabbed Teen Mom to Death for Bag Was Out on Bond – Crime Online

The Texas woman accused of stabbing a 17-year-old girl to death over her purse was out of jail on bond after cutting her ex-boyfriend with a knife.

Kaysone Sky Blossom, 37, has been charged with capital murder in the death of Kayla Stevenson, the mom of a 6-month-old baby who was walking to work when she was attacked, KTRK reported.

Blossom was riding a blue “cruiser-style” bicycle at the time of the attack on Saturday, but the bike was later found abandoned, CrimeOnline reported. She took a pink Juicy Couture bag decorated with hearts and a rhinestone JC logo that contained Stevenson’s wallet, phone, and keys.

Stevenson’s mother, Kylie Stevenson, told KHOU that the bag was given to her daughter by her fiance and that the gift came with a miniature matching bag for her baby daughter.

Blossom was charged with aggravated assault in an attack on her ex-boyfriend in 2021 and was out on bond awaiting trial, KTRK said. Court documents say police found a taser, handcuffs, duct tape, and another knife in her bag at the time of the assault.

She is set to appear in court Thursday morning on the murder charge.
