Viewers of Season 1 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys might notice that the head of the family, Steven McBee Sr. has been absent from Season 2. However, that might not be the case for long.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Steven McBee Jr. noted that viewers could be seeing Steven Sr. during a future episode. “Keep watching Season 2, you might just see him show up later on,” he said.
Although he has not yet appeared on The McBee Dynasty Season 2, Steven Sr.’s name has been thrown around a lot. Steven Sr. has been at the center of the drama between his ex-girlfriend, McBee Farm & Cattle Co.’s CFO, Galyna Saltkovska, and her good friend (and his current girlfriend) Masha.
During Season 2, Episode 4, Galyna elaborated on her former relationship with Steven Sr. in a confessional. “He would just make it sound so right…I thought we were going to be, you know, spending the rest of our lives together,” she explained. “We were building a house together. I trusted him with everything. And I am beyond heartbroken.”
Inside Steven McBee Sr.’s legal issues discussed on The McBee Dynasty Season 2
Steven Sr.’s legal issues are also something that have been discussed on The McBee Dynasty Season 2. During Episode 3, Steven Jr. was caught on camera apologizing to Galyna for having a temper when she mentioned on camera that Steven Sr. was being investigated by the FBI.Â
“I’m sorry for going off on you, but I’ve never dealt with this before,” he told Galyna. “My dad is under an FBI investigation. And you are the only one, and my mom, that even know this is going on, so it has to stay between us.”
In November 2024, Steven Sr. pleaded guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud. By pleading guilty, he admitted that “he engaged in fraudulent activity from 2018 to 2020 that caused an economic loss to the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Missouri.

He had also reportedly submitted fraudulent documents underreporting his corn crop and soybean crop totals, resulting in him receiving millions in federal crop insurance subsidies. He now faces up to 30 years in federal prison ahead of his sentencing in September.
Jesse read a statement from Steven Sr. during a November 2024 episode of their podcast, Meet the McBees. “I entered a plea agreement to address crop insurance issues with farming operations in 2018 through 2020. I personally accept responsibility as the buck stops with me,” he noted.
Steven McBee Jr. opens up about his support for Steven McBee Sr.
During a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Steven Jr. shared that he and his brothers, Jesse McBee, Cole McBee, and Brayden McBee, are continuing to support their father amidst everything going on.Â
“We love and support our dad and we know who he is,” he said. “We know how hard he works and how much he cares about us boys and our family.”
“You know, it’s been a very, very stressful time for our family,” Steven Jr. added. “As much good as we’ve had going on, that has always been, like this sort of cloud that’s been looming over us at all times, and we think about it all the time. It’s not over yet. It is still ongoing. We’re hoping to have some finality on it before the end of the year.”
The McBee brothers open up about Kristi McBee appearing on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2
Steven Sr.’s ex-wife and the mother of his four sons, Kristi McBee, was not on The McBee Dynasty Season 1. But, she plays a role in Season 2, providing insight and advice to her sons while trying to keep the family together.
Steven Jr. noted to The Daily Dish that he is happy his mom joined the cast of Season 2.
“She is extremely private and introverted, but I think she did such a good job,” he said. “And I think back now, being able to watch the episodes back, she’s really, really glad she stepped up and did it.”
Jesse echoed this, noting that the differences between their parents’ involvement in Seasons 1 and 2 are a reflection on how they grew up.
“The advice that our dad was giving us in Season 1 versus the advice that our mom was giving us in Season 2, that’s kind of the battle that we faced even growing up, kind of what shaped and molded us and kind of the route we chose for who we wanted to be and how we wanted to be,” he said.Â
“I think we have extremes from both parents,” Steven Jr. added. “Like, we have my dad, who is a larger than life personality, just a wild extrovert, and then you have my mom, who’s a serious introvert.”

However, Steven Sr. noted how much he missed the farm during the episode. “It’s just one of those things that sounds good to start with and then whenever you — when you get away from there for a minute, then…have withdrawals immediately and it’s something like, ‘OK, I gotta get back,'” he explained. “I’ve worked seven days [a week] my entire life…There’s no way I can do this…I’m a problem solver. I mean, that’s what I do. I put out fires every day.”
