A Tennessee jury found a Memphis man guilty Tuesday, in connection with the deaths of his newborn and her mother.
According to COURT TV, the jury convicted Brandon Isabelle, 28, on numerous charges, including two first-degree murder counts.
He’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars after receiving three life sentences in prison.
Isabelle was also found guilty on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated child abuse counts. Sentencing for those charges is scheduled for November 12, Local Memphis reports.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Isabelle lured Danielle Hoyle, 27, to meet him at an intersection in Memphis with their newborn daughter, Kennedy, on February 1, 2022.
Police officers later discovered Hoyle’s body near her empty vehicle while searching for stolen cars in the area.
Before finding her body, officers located her abandoned vehicle, ran the plates, and contacted her family — who said they had not heard from her since she left the home with her daughter.
Police detained Isabelle, who admitted to fatally shooting Hoyle before taking the baby out of the car seat and driving her to Upper Mud Island Boat Ramp.
There, he threw the baby and the murder weapon in the Wolf River, which flows into the Mississippi River.
Afterward, Isabelle went to a Walgreens store and bought gifts for his new girlfriend. He then went to a nearby Walmart and threw Kennedy’s car seat into a dumpster.
Kennedy’s remains have not been found.
