The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss keeps doing her thing, and her now-estranged husband, Todd Tucker, continues to have her back.
Todd, on Dec. 9, shared an Instagram video of Kandi’s appearance on The View, where the Grammy Award-winning songstress performed Pink’s “F–kin’ Perfect” in a duet with Broadway & Juliet co-star, Gianna Harris. The appearance comes as Kandi is slated to star in & Juliet as Angélique beginning Dec. 11.
“Great job,” Todd wrote. “Keep inspiring and doing your thing.” In the comments, Kandi replied “Thank you” with a red-heart emoji.
“I’m excited about getting back to the Broadway stage,” Kandi shared on the talk show. “It’s cool being behind the scenes producing, and I love it, but to be on stage and performing, doing what I love, it’s like a dream come true to do it. And doing it on a show that has so many songs that I love? Everyone loves. So, I’m excited about that.”
It marks Kandi’s return to the Broadway stage after making her debut in 2018 when she played Mama Morton in Chicago. She’s also worked behind the scenes as a producer on revivals such as Othello starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, The Wiz, and the Tony-nominated The Piano Lesson, all of which were co-produced with Todd.
Of course, Todd’s support of Kandi’s live performance on the talk show comes weeks after Kandi filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage, a show of unceasing support toward the mother of his children.
Kandi Burruss announces her divorce from Todd Tucker
Previously, Kandi said she and Todd’s split had been “brewing for a while,” though she had “no regrets” over their 14-year relationship. When tying the knot in 2014, both of them brought in children from previous relationships — Next Gen NYC’s Riley Burruss and Kaela Tucker, respectively — and together, they welcomed Ace Tucker, 9, and Blaze Tucker, 6.

Inside Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s co-parenting dynamic
It appears that the Georgia-based parents remain on good terms for the children, whether coming together for Blaze’s birthday, celebrating Thanksgiving, or Todd participating in “Daddy Day Care” as they navigate co-parenting their kids.
Still, Kandi has shared that she has mastered putting on a brave face over her “inner stress and sadness.” On Dec. 3, she shared some of her happiest times on Instagram, stating, “This is what I look like when I’m going through something. I show up for my family, I show up for my friends, I show up to handle my business, & I show up with a smile, all while on the inside I’m emotionally broken.”

“This is not being fake; this is just how I deal with things,” she continued. “I internalize and deal with it alone. I am the poster child for the saying, ‘Check on your strong friend because you never know what they are going through.’ I normally don’t like to share stuff like this, but I was listening to this old song that I wrote years ago & felt like it perfectly described how I feel.”
