Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylor have had a long and complicated relationship. Since making their Bravo debuts in Vanderpump Rules Season 1 (2013), the ex-bartenders have experienced multiple fallouts and reconciliations, some of which stemmed from a cheating scandal, perceived disloyalty, and disputes about their power rankings within their friend group.
So, where do the former castmates stand today? According to Tom, they have remained on good terms.

Jax Taylor announces two big exits after filming The Valley Season 2
Jax shared the news less than two months after his estranged wife, Brittany, filed for divorce. Since then, Jax has made not one but two major career changes. On July 15, the Michigan native announced he was leaving The Valley’ after two seasons to focus on his mental health and 4-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi.
“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” he said in a statement shortly before The Valley Season 2 finale. “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself – especially for our son, Cruz.”
Nearly two weeks later, Jax confirmed he was parting ways with his namesake bar in Studio City, and reiterated that his health and family were now his main priorities.
“We had a really great run. I was very blessed to have something like this with my business partner here…” he told TMZ in July. “It is bittersweet, but it’s also something that I need to do for myself, to go in the right direction that I need to go in. I think this is a step towards that.”
