Summer House’s Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s split may have taken some by surprise, but Tom Schwartz was not among them.
The Vanderpump Rules alum took to his Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz podcast on Jan. 21 and addressed the couple’s separation after four years of marriage, stating, “I just love them individually and dearly as a couple, even with their imperfections.”
“And yeah, like, you guys, we get it; we probably all know it’s for the best,” Tom added of his Winter House comrades’ separation.
After that, the Cali-based Bravoleb reflected on his own divorce from Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney. “I don’t know the intricacies of the relationship, but it made me sad. I know, divorce is f–king hard, and even when it is for the best, it’s still sad. [It] really is, but I guess, to new beginnings, onwards and upwards.”

Tom’s comments about Kyle and Amanda came after he recently attended the Toronto stop of Kyle’s Let Him Cooke tour.

What to know about Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s split

“We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing,” their joint statement read. “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”

Kyle Cooke shares details about his and Amanda Batula’s ongoing separation
Kyle recently revealed that he and Amanda remain “in a good spot” after going their separate ways. He also confirmed that he and Amanda — whose relationship has been covered since the Hamptons-based series debuted in 2017 — live in separate homes, calling their decision to split “the worst-kept secret” among those closest to them.
As fans await Season 10, poised to feature plenty of relationship drama between the two, Kyle didn’t think there was a single source for their parting ways.
As he told Comedian Adam Glyn, “This isn’t, like, a big breakup where there’s a smoking gun and there’s a lot of hate. There’s absolutely some frustration … I’ve done things, she’s done things … But we’ve got each other’s back[s]. We care about each other. We still love each other.”
