Tommy Feight is opening up about his mini-me. While speaking to The Daily Dish in 2025, The Valley: Persian Style dad shed more light on his life with Shams Francis Feight — the 6-year-old son he shares with his now-estranged wife, Mercedeh Javid.

Tommy said becoming a dad marked his “biggest” life change since his Shahs of Sunset days; although, he technically entered fatherhood in the series’ penultimate season.
“I mean, we had our son… during Shahs,” Tommy clarified, “But he was just a little thing. Now he’s a person. He’s another human… He’s me, you know?”

Tommy and Mercedeh welcomed Shams in April 2019, following a challenging IVF journey. Shortly after giving birth to baby No. 1, Mercedeh experienced multiple complications and was admitted to the ICU. Tommy addressed the health scare in an Instagram video filmed from the hospital.
“The night my son was born was the worst night of my life,” he said. “My wife had a ton of complications. She was in surgery for, like, five hours. They didn’t tell me nothing. But they’re amazing at Cedars [-Sinai Medical Center]. They saved her life. She’s still in ICU. She still hasn’t held her baby yet.”
He continued: “[Shams], on the other hand, is looking great. He couldn’t be happier. … They have him in a tanning bed now with glasses on. No joke, a day old, he’s already in a tanning bed. Couldn’t be more like his mother if he tried.”

Tommy Feight reflects on the similarities between him and his son, Shams
Tommy told The Daily Dish that he sees himself in Shams more and more every day, which he admits is “good and bad.”
“Little guy is the light of my life. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” he said. “And I love him more today than I did yesterday, but not nearly as much as I’ll love him tomorrow…
“There’s been many a time where I wasn’t sure if we had the right kid,” he joked, “because my kid’s too good-looking to be my kid. But now I see it. Like, he’s me. He’s a mirror of me walking around that I get to see every day. That’s good and bad. You know, you see the blemishes, you see the bright spots. But just watching him grow up has been amazing. And like I said, that’s the biggest difference for me since the last you saw me.”
Mercedeh Javid explains why she filed for divorce from Tommy Feight
Tommy’s comments came shortly before his marital split came to light. In October 2025, Mercedeh announced she had filed for divorce from Tommy after seven years of marriage.

“Well, filing was a choice out of self-preservation and self-worth, that’s what that move was,” she explained to The Daily Dish. “You can choose that and love someone at the same time and prioritize your baby boy, which we’re both doing really well. I’m really impressed with how well we’re holding it down in this new chapter.”
