Truck Driver Flees Scene After Killing Texas Man on Scooter, Police Seek Tips – Crime Online

Police in Texas are requesting the public’s help in locating a suspect in a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on a scooter.

The incident happened near the Austin downtown area on October 18, just after 11:30 p.m. A truck fatally struck Khaled Saadeddine, 33, at the intersection of East 11th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard.

First responders rushed Saadeddine to an area hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. Saadeddine was pronounced dead the day after the accident, according to the Austin Police.

The Austin Police Department released a picture of the October 18 hit-and-run suspect’s truck.

This is Austin’s 78th fatal crash this year. This hit-and-run contributes to the 82 deaths caused by crashes in the Austin area.
