After a challenging five-day charter, the Below Deck crew was ready to blow off some steam on Season 12, Episode 4. And while Fraser Olender wasn’t quite single, he was ready to mingle.
Naturally, after a night out, the cast members ended up in the hot tub together. Sans bosun Caio Poltronieri, who took some time for himself to play guitar in his cabin.
And while viewers may have expected Solène Favreau and Kyle Stillie to immediately get their smooch on, the first two people to make out among the Motor Yacht St. David crew were none other than Fraser and deckhand Damo Yorg.
The two had shared some flirty exchanges leading up to the crew’s night off, and when Fraser swam up to Damo in the hot tub, Damo confidently made the first move.
The two shared a passionate kiss as the group cheered in excitement and, based on some of their faces, total surprise. Solène announced, “You’re the first kiss of the season!”
Damo Yorg spills details on kiss with Fraser Olender
“Fraser is a good kisser!” said Damo during an interview. Then, he went on to share more about his past romantic history.
“I’ve absolutely kissed a bloke before,” Damo revealed. He added cheekily, “Sometimes you want to keep things fresh. Change it up.”
“I was watching TV one day, and I saw this guy, and I thought, Oh, that guy’s good looking, and I was like, F–k, am I gay?” Damo said of his past. “I guess I’ve always been open to it because I always thought I was, or would potentially be, gay.”
Noting, “Everybody wants to put people in a box,” Damo went on to share, “But I’m very comfortable with who I am.”
Then, with a grin, he concluded, “I’m into chicks, and I just like pashing dudes for a bit of fun.”
Does Fraser Olender have a boyfriend?
Yes. Although Fraser seemed to enjoy his kiss with Damo, Solène Favreau pointed out an issue: “The problem is, Fraser has a boyfriend.”
Fraser reflected on this in an episode interview explaining, “I don’t personally think it’s that much of an issue, but I don’t think this is going to go down to well.”
Prior to his kiss with Damo, Fraser reflected on how a hookup with the deck crew member might impact his relationship with his boyfriend.
“How cool is Damo?” he asked. “I think he’s super attractive. But I spoke to my boyfriend about it. I was like, ‘Oh, it’s fine for me to, like, make out with people, right?’ and he was like, ‘Absolutely not.'”
Noting he had only seen his boyfriend for five days in the year so far, Fraser went on to share more about their relationship.
“I met my current boyfriend in the industry and lo and behold, we both have ridiculous schedules,” he said. “What we have you cannot find easily. I just worry it’s the wrong time sometimes.”
