Tyson Beckford has never been married, but the 53-year-old has been linked to several high-profile people over the years. Now, the model and dad of one is looking for love on Kings Court.Â
Tyson opened up about his dating struggles on Kings Court Season 1, Episode 1. “I don’t care what anyone says, dating a celebrity is hard,” Tyson explained. “Being around beautiful women is almost normal in my world. But women have a hard time trusting me.”
“You finally sit down and you realize, ‘I’m 53 and I’m alone,'” he continued. “It’s time for Tyson to put his big boy pants on and get his groove back, because if Stella can do it, I can do it too.”

Tyson told People in May that he has one requirement for his future partner. He revealed that he wants “a woman that works remotely from wherever we are” because he wants a partner to travel with.
“I need a bestie that loves to fly,” he admitted.

Tyson is the dad to one adult son, model Jordan Beckford, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, April Roomet. Tyson opened up about his co-parenting relationship with April in a 2020 interview with Us Weekly. “He has an incredible mom,” Tyson stated.Â
“I think [parenting] was more 60/40 — 60 her, 40 me,” he continued. “Some things that she couldn’t do, I was able to do for him. But…moms in most of the situations are the ones who are really the caregivers, the nurturers.”
Does Tyson Beckford want more kids?
Yes, he does. Tyson spoke with Swooon earlier this month, where he admitted that he has always wanted more kids.
“I love kids,” he said. “I think kids are amazing. I have one, but I chose not to have multiple ones because I wanted them all from the same woman. I know sometimes it’s out of your control how it happened. For me, I never did that.”

Tyson had previously dated Australian fashion model Shanina Shaik from 2008 to 2015, according to The Sun, after meeting through the industry. Tyson was also linked to actress Paige Butcher in the early 2000s, which he confirmed in a 2022 interview with Vlad TV. “We were actually dating before [2009] I think we dated like, 2007, somewhere around there, but we kind of had an on-and-off kind of thing, and we restarted again in 2008,” he said. “Good spirit, good heart.”

In a 2013 interview with Elle Magazine Australia, Tyson admitted that he he had dated “tons” of non-celebrities in the past. “You humble yourself when you do something like that, because it’s so much harder when you date someone famous — there are egos at play, and there might be PR people who don’t think you’re right for them,” he admitted.Â
“But dating someone who has a 9 to 5 is cool because they don’t have that hectic life and they’re down with going on regular dates, like, to the movies,” he added.
