Previously unseen footage of cousins Chris Hahn and Jason Cohen appeared to confirm Audrey Lingle’s fears on Vanderpump Rules.
During a hike with her friend Parker during Season 12, Episode 10, Audrey unpacked the “little situation” with Chris from the cast’s recent Paso Robles trip that made her “step back a little bit” from their budding romance. (As a refresher, she previously overhead a phone conversation during which Jason’s twin brother mentioned to Chris that they were going to sleep with multiple women on an upcoming vacation to Bali.)
“I just feel like I can’t ignore the red flags anymore,” Audrey declared in a fourth wall-breaking confessional. “That phone call with Jason’s brother in the bathroom was just, like, what the f–k? He only comments about my physical body most of the time, never really about my personality. He’s just also said some things about the other shows he’s been on, compared to this.”

That’s when unseen footage rolled from five days earlier, including audio of a brief exchange between Chris and Jason.
“When it comes down to, like, a real relationship and other dating shows that we do, it’s not, like, truly us,” Jason admitted, before adding that their “playful” onscreen personas had been largely for “entertainment” purposes.
Chris, for his part, agreed, replying, “Yeah, we just f–k around a lot, or we joke around.”
After the clip played, Audrey remarked to a producer, “Those are all sending me into a spiral because I don’t think that he is who he says he is 100 percent of the time.”

During Audrey and Chris’ pre-planned trip to Universal Studios, the SUR hostess broached the subject of whether or not they should take the next step in their relationship.
“We did communicate about the situation that happened really well,” she told him, referring to his phone call with Jason’s brother in Paso Robles. “The trip was, like, a little test. Like, I would really love it if Chris set up something romantic, just like the next level of, like, a romantic connection, which I was, like, kind of missing. And so, I think I’m just at a place where I need to take a little bit of a step back.”
While attempting to understand Audrey’s reasoning, a “confused” Chris asked her to clarify if she was saying that she only felt “friendly vibes” with him.
“We are not friendly vibes,” she assured him. “But I think moving forward, I would rather go in that direction.”
As Chris put it to a producer afterward, “If I would’ve bet my life on it, I would’ve 100 percent assumed that she wanted to be with me. Maybe I completely just misjudged this whole situation.”

Later, during SUR DJ McKenna’s beach birthday bash, Chris explained that he still had a lot to get off his chest, because he previously “couldn’t process” Audrey’s breakup explanation.
After some “awkward” small talk, as she described it, Chris eventually opened up to Audrey about wanting “something genuine” and “something that’s going to last.”
He also insisted that he had been nothing but authentic with Audrey.
“With you, everything just felt so natural, that I can be who I am,” Chris told her. “I really started thinking about, like, possibly having a future with you and seeing where things actually go. I want you, Audrey. Like, I want us. I f–kin’ like you a lot, and, like, I want to prove that.”
When Chris offered to address any lingering doubts that she might still be having, Audrey said, “I was liking the pace we were going at, and I still do. And, like, I’m gonna need some time to, like, readjust.”
As Audrey concluded in a confessional, “I’m feeling a million different emotions right now. Like, I’m really happy he’s telling me these things. Why didn’t he tell me earlier? But it seems genuine…Â I believe him, I think. I hope he’s worth a second chance.”
