By the time that the Southern Charm Season 11 premiere kicked off, Craig Conover and Venita Aspen were already embroiled in a heated feud. Because the falling out occurred between seasons — and (mostly) off camera — the two brought viewers up to speed with their respective version of events.

First, a producer asked Venita to give the “blow-by-blow” of what happened between her and Craig. Various between-season interview clips rolled, documenting how Craig and Venita’s drama had played out in the media. The central issue stemmed from Venita apparently siding with Paige DeSorbo after the Summer House alum and Craig broke up in late 2024. During a March 2025 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen appearance, Craig publicly declared that he was “not friends” with Venita anymore.

“I consciously made my decision to text Paige over Craig, because who do I have a stronger relationship with? Paige, not Craig. Sorry,” Venita explained in a confessional.

Later, Craig claimed that the rift went deeper than a text message, however.

“Venita said that I was enjoying my breakup, reveling in all the attention I was getting from it, and dragging it on because I didn’t want it to end,” Craig contended. “Anyone that would say that is clearly not my friend.”

As he elaborated to Salley Carson at Madison LeCroy’s baby shower, “She was like, ‘I think he’s just enjoying the attention…’ I was like, I couldn’t f–king eat or sleep for a month.”

Because Craig and Venita were both on the guest list for Madison’s co-ed shower, their castmates made every effort to get the two to bury the hatchet. However, neither Craig nor Venita were interested in having a peacemaking conversation, at that point.

Venita, for one, was worried that “Craig’s temper” would flare up and “ruin” Madison’s special day. “So, he’s not someone that I am willing to go bat-to-bat with,” she told a producer.

After Rodrigo Reyes’ failed attempt to get Venita to say hello Craig, he made a similar suggestion to the latter. “Why?” Craig asked him. “I don’t like her. I don’t f–k with her.”

After Rodrigo reported back to Venita on that interaction, she told him, “He made the decision to make sure that whatever was happening between us stayed petty when he verbally said out loud publicly, ‘I don’t like her.’ … It would’ve been so different if he said to me, ‘Hey, I don’t like what you did. I don’t like what you said. Can we talk about it?'”

Finally, Salley made a last-ditch effort, telling Venita, “We need you to talk to Craig,” while Shep Rose added, “Being a bigger person is a big deal.”

Venita responded, “But I feel like I’m always that. I don’t want to do it here. He can come to my house. … I don’t want to speak to Craig because I’m afraid he’s gonna yell at Madison’s baby shower, and that’s the last thing I want.”

What to expect from Craig Conover and Venita Aspen’s feud on Southern Charm Season 11

During Southern Charm‘s Nov. 19 episode, Salley noted that she could “see both sides” of the argument but pushed back on new “best friend” Venita’s accusation that she wasn’t being a “girls’ girl.” As both the official Season 11 announcement and trailer already teased, Salley’s connection to Craig will continue to cause friction between her and Venita.

“After Venita sparred with Craig on social media, she has concerns that Salley’s interest in him might put a serious wedge in their friendship,” the announcement read.

Indeed, the supertease also previewed Salley telling Venita, “I don’t want to stop hanging out with Craig.” Venita, meanwhile, claimed that Craig would treat her “like a dog on a leash, until he’s done with you.”

Expect at least one heated confrontation to spring up between Venita and Craig, too.

During a group dinner shown in the sneak peek, Craig accused Venita of being a “bully,” prompting her to clap back, “I get it all out on the table in front of everybody. Get it out.”
