Venita Aspen is opening up about the date that she went on with Summer House cast member Carl Radke. The Southern Charm fashionista and the Soft Bar founder have been open about their attraction to one another, which recently resulted in an hours-long date in NYC.
The Charleston resident appeared on an episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat on Tuesday, Dec. 23, where she confirmed that she had gone on a date with Carl. “We have now gone on one date, which is very nice,” she said, revealing that they first met up at Carl’s sober bar and café in Brooklyn before continuing the night elsewhere.
“We went to Soft Bar, of course, first, and I got to see that whole experience. Then we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant around the corner,” she continued, admitting that they “shut the place down” and “had to be asked to leave.” “I think it lasted for almost five hours. We were together the whole day, for about five hours.”
“Carl’s cute,” she said on the podcast. “I’m sweating.”

Carl has also been very open about his attraction to Venita. Carl briefly touched on this at The Summer House Always Wins panel at BravoCon 2025. “I had a really great time hanging out with Venita yesterday,” he said with a smile on his face.

“Venita’s beautiful, she’s really cool,” he continued, noting that they know each other through Summer House cast member Ciara Miller. “Venita’s actually been at the summer house. Venita and I got to know each other a bit more yesterday, so we’ll see.”
Southern Charm cast members react to Venita Aspen’s potential romance with Carl Radke
Venita’s Southern Charm cast members are very supportive of Venita’s potential romance with Carl. During an appearance on BravoCon Live! with Andy Cohen, Austen Kroll spilled the beans on their hangout at BravoCon. “There’s a little love connection potentially flourishing here between Carl and Venita,” Austen explained. “And I was talking to Carl earlier, and I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t think Venita is a ‘Wham, bam, thank you ma’am. You’re gonna have to wine and dine her.’ And he was like, ‘That is right up my alley.'”

Southern Charm‘s Molly O’Connell appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Dec. 10, where she shared that Venita and Carl had been on a date. “So I am pretty sure she came to New York a couple weeks ago, and she posted a photo at Soft Bar, so I’m pretty sure they went on maybe another date,” she explained. “I’ve been shipping this. I love it.”
Craig Conover also appeared on WWHL on Dec. 17, where he endorsed Venita’s relationship with Carl. “If they like each other, go for it,” he said.
