Victim Tests Negative For Gonorrhea After Florida Man Kills Her, Believing She Gave Him STD – Crime Online

A Florida man allegedly shot to death the mother of his child because he believed she had given him a sexually transmitted disease, but in fact, she did not have the STD, WEAR-TV reports.

On Wednesday, prosecutors made the stunning revelation in the trial of the gunman, 20-year-old Keith Agee, who was convicted this week of first-degree premeditated murder in the death of 18-year-old Brooklyn Sims.

Agee gunned down Sims while she was working at a Home Depot in Pensacola on August 11. He took the stand and confessed to the slaying, alleging that he shot the mother of his 2-year-old daughter because he contracted gonorrhea after he and Sims had sex.

But in fact, Assistant State Attorney Bridgette Jensen presented a report to the court showing that Sims tested negative for the STD.

“I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter, but we just wanted to give Miss Sims a little bit of dignity,” Jensen said during the hearing, according to WEAR-TV.

Agee claimed it was a rash decision to shoot Sims. However, the state presented evidence that he had planned the shooting and was encouraged to do it by his own mom, Sheila Agee.

The 50-year-old mother allegedly told her son that if he did not kill Sims, he would be “a mf b**ch,” according to the Pensacola News Journal.

Keith Agee allegedly texted back that “thought of her knowin she f**ked and the regret in her face will b enough to satisfy me,” according to WKRG-TV. He has been sentenced to life in prison.

Prosecutors charged Sheila Agee with first-degree premeditated murder and she is expected to be in court early next year.

Sims’ mother is now raising the child.
