West Wilson is sharing a brand new look at his life today and his career as a sports journalist. The Summer House cast member recently took to social media to give a look at his recent travels after a brief absence from social media.
West took to his Instagram Story on Monday, April 6, where he posted a selfie of himself and his friend, Lucas Brody. In the photo, West can be seen peeking out from the side of the frame flashing a peace sign while his friend looked directly into the camera. The duo took the picture from downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, where the NCAA men’s basketball championship tournament was being held. He chose not to caption the photo, letting his expression and peace sign speak for itself.
Attending sports games is something that West, a former football player at Montana State University, is very passionate about. He currently works for Complex and Complex Sports which gets him on the sidelines of games and immersed in the sports world.
Read West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s statement confirming their “connection”
West’s return to social media comes on the heels of his statement that he released with Amanda Batula. The Summer House cast members took to their respective Instagram Stories on March 31 where they opened up about their current relationship to one another following rumors about each other.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they said in a statement. “It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they continued in the statement. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it important for us to handle this with care. As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take the time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
