A love triangle between West Wilson, Ciara Miller, and Jesse Solomon is taking shape on Summer House Season 10.
During Episode 4, Jesse raised eyebrows when he asked West, “You don’t care if I make out with Ciara, do you?” Though West didn’t say much in the moment, he had plenty to get off his chest later on — even if some of it was said under his breath.
After a night out in the Hamptons, West had a late-night talk in the kitchen with Kyle Cooke, KJ Dillard, and Ben Waddell. Because KJ and Ben had been present when Jesse asked West “permission” to hook up with his ex, Ciara, the two newbies had been particularly taken aback by the brief conversation.
As the group discussed whether or not Ciara would be mad if she found out Jesse had asked him that, West whispered, “I mean, the whole thing is just weird, if I can be honest. I feel like she would destroy him.”

As for whether or not Jesse was “testing the waters,” West said, “I don’t think he’s there yet, which is why I’m like, why would you bring it up to me?” He added, however, that he didn’t think Ciara actually would ever explore a potential romance with Jesse.
The next day, West also made similar comments while debriefing a stunned Lindsay Hubbard on the matter. As she saw it, Jesse was “calling dibs” on Ciara and “might be, like, catching feelings for her,” in the process.
Inside West Wilson and Jesse Solomon’s talk about Ciara Miller
By the end of Summer House‘s Feb. 24 episode, West shared some of his feelings with Jesse directly. While chatting in a pool floatie during the backyard Renaissance fair-themed party, the subject arose after Jesse brought up how Ciara had replied to a “jokey flirty” social media video he posted from their car ride to the Hamptons.
When West asked if it really was “jokey,” Jesse replied, “I think it’s just like we’ve always had a good friendship, and, uh, like, she’s hot.” As he went on to say that he and Ciara had “just been, like, vibing and flirting,” West interjected to clarify if he was truly “asking permission” to pursue her romantically.
“Of course it’s the nice thing to do,” Jesse answered, “Just, like, in case we got drunk and made out, I didn’t wanna, like…”

That’s when West chimed in again to point out how KJ and Ben, in particular, “thought it was weird” that he had asked him that.
“I mean, on paper, you asked your boy if you can make out with his ex,” West elaborated. “But I think most people in my position would, like, call you a weirdo or a dickhead for asking me.”
Jesse, meanwhile, questioned what he should have done differently, before admitting that West’s history with Ciara made it “a little weirder” that he was interested in her — even if it had “been a long time” since they dated, as he put it.
West Wilson and Jesse Solomon shed light on their feelings for Ciara Miller
Earlier in the episode, both West and Jesse had offered producers more insight on how they really felt about Ciara, at that moment in time.
“The progress from last summer to this summer with Ciara and I is clearly there,” West explained. “We’re kind of flirty and fun and friends, and everything’s cool. And I would never, like, f–k with that. Despite how messy this relationship has been, there are still boundaries that we have both tried to, like, hold to just respect each other. And it’s just super important to keeping our little family, like, together.”
Jesse, for his part, intimated that he would be a better romantic partner for Ciara, however.
“If West was ready to settle down, Ciara would be a great match. He’s just not ready,” Jesse said. “We differ in that sense. Like, I am very clear that I want to find somebody that I can spend the rest of my life with. But West is, like, chillin’, and that is not what Ciara is lookin’ for.”
Later on, he added, “Ciara is so hot, and we’re, like, having such a nice time. Last summer, she had just dated my best friend, so obviously I would never pursue it. But now, I just am thinkin’ maybe Ciara would be open to something with me.”
Though Jesse initially downplayed his interest by insisting that he was preemptively asking for West’s blessing only in the event of a potential “drunken” hookup, he later copped to writing a song about “being in love with your best friend.” Â
After he sang a few bars, a producer asked if Ciara knew he wrote the song, and Jesse replied, “I’m not saying it’s about Ciara, so, no, she doesn’t know.”
