Starship Troopers (1997)
Denise began her career in movies in 1997, when she was cast as Carmen Ibanez in the 1997 action flick, Starship Troopers. As Carmen, Denise acted as a captain in the United Citizen Federation Fleet, determined to defeat giant, alien bugs that are in a war with humans.
Denise spoke with Us Weekly in March, where she admitted that she has such fond memories from filming Starship Troopers. “We were all pretty much in the same place in our career and a lot of us are still close,” she explained. “We just had so much fun. We were all just new and excited and it was just one of the most fondest memories that I have working.”
Wild Things (1998)
Denise followed up her role in Starship Troopers by appearing in Wild Things alongside Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon, and Neve Campbell. In the film, Denise plays Kelly Van Ryan, a high school student who becomes embroiled in a scandal with her high school guidance counselor and an outcast classmate.
The World is Not Enough (1999)
Denise became a “Bond girl” when she appeared in the James Bond flick, The World is Not Enough, in 1999. She played the research scientist, Dr. Christmas Jones, who hits it off with Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond.Â
“I asked my agent, ‘Why is it on the news?’ He goes, ‘Because you’re a Bond girl,'” Denise recalled to Us Weekly.
Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)
That same year, Denise took on the role of Rebecca Ann Leeman in Drop Dead Gorgeous. Denise played a beauty pageant contestant with a vengeful mother, played by Kirstie Alley.
Love Actually (2003)
Denise also had a small role in the 2003 holiday-themed romantic comedy, Love Actually. The actress made a brief cameo in the film as Carla, the “real friendly one” toward the end of the movie.
“I loved being a part of that movie, even though if you blink, you’ll miss me,” Denise told PEOPLE in 2022. “I’m still so proud of it, being able to be part of it, and I’ll never forget meeting the cast. My mother — my late mom — traveled with me to London to shoot it. She was just so excited to be on set, too.”

Denise appeared on a single episode of Friends in 2001, where she played Ross and Monica’s cousin, Cassie. Denise told Us Weekly that performing in front of the studio audience was “scary” for her at the time.
“I was so excited to work with them,” she told the publication. “[The cast] could do this in their sleep. They were such a well-oiled machine and rehearsed so quickly.”
Two and a Half Men (2003, 2011)
Denise appeared in three episodes of the TV series, Two and a Half Men, alongside her then-husband, Charlie Sheen. It was here where she played a love interest to Charlie’s character, Charlie Harper.
The Bold and the Beautiful (2019-2022)
