In a first look at The Valley: Persian Style Season 1 premiere (airing Thursday, Jan. 8), Mercedeh Javid reveals just how much her life has changed since viewers last saw her on Shahs of Sunset — especially when it comes to her career as a real estate agent.
“From the last time that I was on television, I got back into real estate — but not just back into real estate, I joined The Agency,” she says of the firm owned by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Mauricio Umansky. “Working for Mauricio, it’s a really big deal for me.”
As such, it’s no surprise that Mercedeh’s Instagram feed is regularly filled with posts advertising her real estate listings. She also took to her Instagram Story in October to give a close-up look at her role as an agent, snapping a photo of a gorgeous California sidewalk, and another of the inside of the offices at The Agency. “Selling the Valley,” she wrote over one picture.
Mercedeh Javid’s role at Mauricio Umansky’s real estate firm, explained
“I have a lot of interaction with him,” Mercedes explained during a 2024 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “We have meetings every week. You can text him and he’s a phone call away…He’s so amazing. We’re really the best players in the game, so that’s why I love being there. There are so many partners that are a part of what makes The Agency. So, it’s incredible.”

What Mercedeh Javid has learned from Mauricio Umansky
At BravoCon 2023, Mercedeh revealed that The Agency’s “mantra” is “no assholes.”
“That you’ll see when you walk into our offices,” she added. “I love the mentality.”
What’s more, “[There’s] no ego [involved],” Mercedeh continued. “We’re in an industry that is a service industry. You go the extra mile. You don’t check your watch to see how early it is or how late it is. You do what you need to do to make the client feel like you are their number one trusted confidante period.”

How Mercedeh Javid got into real estate
Real estate is something that has been in Mercedeh’s blood, thanks to her late father, Shams Javid. The mom of one spoke with Inman in 2024, where she opened up about how she got her start in real estate. “I grew up in real estate,” she explained. “My dad flipped condos and houses, and he is that person who I would shadow, not only in real estate, but my whole life. And I would stand and watch him negotiate, and then I would sometimes find him to be too generous. And that was my pocketbook he was reaching into.”
“Doing really quick math, I’d be like, ‘I think he’s leaving money on the table.’ I would jump in. I would negotiate. No one kicked me out of the conversation. And the next thing you know, I just saved him, like, $20,000,” she continued. “And then he looked at me after I graduated from college, and he was like, ‘Why don’t you get your real estate license so that I can give you the listing instead of another real estate agent, since you’re genuinely and organically getting yourself involved. And you’re negotiating and doing a better job than me.’ I [was] like, ‘Hell yeah.'”
Details on Mercedeh Javid’s career outside of real estate
Real estate isn’t the only thing that is keeping Mercedeh busy. She is also the host of Till the Dirt, a weekly podcast that she used to co-host with her ex-husband, Tommy Feight. Mercedeh still puts out weekly episodes of the podcast, sharing updates about her life, her career, and her son.
She is also the host of Heal 2 Feel with Liat Gerszt & Mercedes Javid, a weekly podcast which focuses on more of the wellness side of her life. According to the podcast’s description, Mercedes and Liat “dive into all things health, wellness, and spirituality — think Reiki, hypnotherapy, near-death experiences, and mastering your mindset.”
