What Is the Song Tamra Judge Recorded? She Reveals the Truth

The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Tamra Judge is ready to face the music about a much-discussed song she recorded a decade-and-a-half ago.

How to Watch

The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show airs BravoTV.com and Peacock on Thursdays.

After Gretchen Rossi spilled the tea about her past recording session with an unnamed musician during a sleepover outing with Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson, Tamra came clean about her song, both on Season 19, Episode 12, and on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show.

As Tamra revealed in the above clip, a “boy bander” neighbor approached her sometime around 2010 with an idea that she should record a charity single to benefit the NOH8 Campaign.

“I was confronted with somebody from a boy band, that lived in my neighborhood,” Tamra added in an Episode 12 confessional. “And I thought, ‘I’ll give it my all.’ Well, my all wasn’t good at all, so, I’m like, ‘Nope, I am not embarrassing myself. Maybe you should just do it alone.'”

The session took place “like, 15 years ago,” she estimated, referencing how this was “right after” she separated from ex Simon Barney and when she had “just started dating” husband Eddie Judge.

“I think it was a recording studio, like, within a house,” Tamra elaborated on RHOC‘s Sept. 25 episode. “We were hanging out at this house, drinking. …  We were joking around. We were messing around, just singing songs on the thing. But I don’t know who would’ve gotten it, how they would’ve gotten it. I don’t even have it.”

Tamra Judge responds to musician “affair” rumors

The reveal about her secret song — which Gretchen and Slade Smiley claimed to have a copy of — was not Tamra’s primary issue, though. What really activated her on RHOC was the fact that the couple further alleged that she was hooking up with the musician who helped her record the track.

Slade, for his part, took the rumor even further, claiming to Heather and Emily during a sleepover FaceTime call that he’d heard audio of Tamra’s alleged “tryst” with the artist in the studio.

Tamra, meanwhile, denied having any romantic relationship with the singer.

“If I wanted to hook up with him, I could’ve,” Tamra declared on the RHOC After Show. “Not that it was… being asked or anything. … We didn’t have that relationship. Our kids went to school together.”

According to Tamra, she is still “friends” with the “boy bander” today.

On Episode 12, Tamra also insisted that she had “nothin’ to hide,” adding that the accusation only validated the reason why she “never wanted to be around” Gretchen for the past 12 years.

Why Gretchen Rossi brought up Tamra Judge’s song on RHOC

The topic of Tamra’s song originally arose on RHOC while Gretchen was discussing her own music career during a “silly” moment with Emily and Heather. She claimed that she brought Tamra into the mix only to point out a double standard.

“Tamra has gone out so many times in the press and said Housewives should not sing,” she elaborated on the RHOC After Show. “And so, it’s just always made me kinda giggle, because I’ve always known about this, like, song that she went into the studio and tried to sing herself where she sounded like a drowned rat.”

Even though she was the first to claim that Tamra had romantic involvement with the musician, Gretchen insisted that it was never her intention for the other women to find out that Slade had allegedly heard a recording of her so-called “extracurricular activities” in the studio.

“I didn’t want it to be about the story that was talked about back in 2010,” Gretchen added.

In fact, Gretchen felt that she actually had Tamra’s back, since she refused to play the song for her castmates, anyway.

“Both Emily and Heather wanted to hear that recording of her singing so badly,” she said. “In a weird way, I almost was, like, protecting Tamra because I was the one that said … ‘I’m not gonna play it.'”

As the drama continues on RHOC, find out how Gretchen attempted to “backpedal” on the Tamra rumors, following Slade’s bombshell accusation.
