Scheana Shay recently revealed that her husband, Brock Davies, had an affair years ago, while they were expecting their first child together. But prior to opening up about his cheating, the Vanderpump Rules alum shared her thoughts on doing everything she could to make her marriage work.
Scheana appeared on Lala Kent’s podcast, Give Them Lala, in November 2024, where she admitted that watching The Valley‘s Michelle Saniei go through her divorce from Jesse Lally had been hard on her. And it had been hard to watch them introduce their daughter to their respective new partners. This caused Scheana to reflect on her own relationship with Brock.
“I pray to God that things always work out with Brock, and I will do anything to make our relationship work, because I really, I don’t ever want that,” she said in the resurfaced quotes. “I just like, I don’t ever think I would be a chill baby mama.”

Scheana opened up about Brock’s affair in a published excerpt from her new memoir, My Good Side. In the selection, published by Glamour, the mom of one writes that Brock admitted to cheating on her in a conversation that they had in between filming VPR Seasons 10 and 11.

She says that Brock revealed that “he’d cheated on me two years prior, while we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with [daughter] Summer [Moon Honey Davies]. As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else.”
Scheana continued, writing that Brock had admitted to cheating on her with someone he knew before they got together, and had reconnected during Scheana’s pregnancy. After he ended the affair, he wrote a letter to Scheana and “swore to himself” that he would never betray her again.

Scheana will also be talking about her divorce from her first husband, Mike Shay, in the memoir, due out on July 22. During a Jan. 31 episode of her podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, Scheana revealed that she had met up with Mike to give him a heads up about the book.

“I wanted to tell him about it in person,” she said. “I didn’t want him to find out about it online. I was very honest. I told him that I do speak about our relationship. And he was like, ‘You know what? It’s your book. I don’t care. It’s your story. And he was genuinely happy for me. He’s known me since I was 15 years old. And he knew that this is always something I wanted to do. So he was very happy.”
