And for me, right now, I need peace and I need distance and I need clarity… I feel the best thing for me right now is just to be on my own.”

The Real Housewives of Miami mom shared the update more than a year after Todd filed for divorce, a move that Alexia claimed she “never saw coming.” Although she acknowledged there were a few “signals” and “warnings” leading up to the split, she presumed her husband would try to remedy their issues before taking such drastic measures.
“I wasn’t expecting it,” she said. “I was so blindsided. You have no idea.”

After the divorce filing, Alexia and Todd remained constant fixtures in each other’s lives, eventually reconciling amid their divorce process. The on-again, off-again relationship has been addressed in the current season of RHOM, with cast members questioning why Alexia would ever take Todd back.
Well, the mother of two said she reconciled with Todd for several reasons, chief among them was her ongoing “love” for the real estate exec.

Alexia said she had yet to “figure out” why Todd filed for divorce in the first place, but suspected he had issues with her life in the public eye. She said reality TV only showed a portion of her and Todd’s relationship, as they had been together for roughly nine years. While RHOM heavily explored their marriage issues, she insisted “there was a lot of good” in the relationship.

“I still love him, and I want to see him happy. I still care about him,” she said, before being asked if she would give Todd another chance. “I don’t know how to not love him… That’s a difficult question to answer. For me, I’ve always wanted to work it out… but sometimes when you don’t see change, you gotta make that change. I gave him the opportunity, and I thought we were going there, but reliving the show, I think, pushed us back to where we were before.”
Alexia Nepola says she hasn’t given up on love despite multiple divorces
While she has seemingly closed the door on her relationship with Todd, Alexia hasn’t given up on finding a forever partner.
“I love love. I’m in love with love. Maybe that’s why I’ve had three husbands,” she said. “I’m always gonna be open to the idea of falling in love. I don’t know about marriage. I’ve made a lot of great decisions about love, and I’ve made a lot of not-so-smart decisions. But, to me, my life would not be complete without love and without a partner. I see myself with someone.”
Alexia was married Pedro “Peter” Rosello 1992-1996. The ex-couple share two sons, Peter and Frankie Rosello. She went on to tie the knot with Miami businessman Herman Echevarria in 2004; however, they separated in 2015, about a year before Herman’s death.
Although she’s currently single, the Miami Housewife said there’s no shortage of love in her life.
“I feel like I’m loved by a lot of people,” she said. “My children and my loved ones bring so much love into my life. It doesn’t fill in that gap that a man, maybe, or a relationship gives you, but I think it does a lot for you. I’m filled with love. I’m filled with hope.”
