Where Do Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval Stand Today?

This just in: The Toms remain on friendly terms.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tom Schwartz shared a positive update on his friendship with Tom Sandoval. As some fans may know, the Vanderpump Rules alums endured multiple rough patches over the past two years, mostly stemming from business-related drama and Tom Sandoval’s shocking breakup with Ariana Madix.

The fallout was, no doubt, disappointing, but the longtime besties have taken steps to repair their relationship. This was revealed during the WWHL segment “What’s Been Going on with Tom,” in which host Andy Cohen pressed Tom Schwartz about his personal relationships.

“How would you characterize your current friendship with Tom Sandoval?” Andy asked in the June 17 episode.

“I think we’re in a better place now,” Tom Schwartz replied. “I was very resentful for a long time, but I’ve let that go, and I feel like we’re in a good place again.”

Tom Schwartz reveals what “almost destroyed” his & Tom Sandoval’s friendship

Tom Schwartz made similar comments on The Valley After Show, revealing why his friendship with Tom Sandoval was “almost destroyed.” He said their now-shuttered restaurant/lounge, Schwartz & Sandy’s, caused a lot of tensions between him and his pal, as they struggled to keep the business afloat in the post-COVID era.

During the episode, a producer asked Tom Schwartz if he and Tom Sandoval were still close after the restaurant closure.

“Short answer is yes. Long answer is a little more complicated,” he admitted. “The financial aspect really put our relationship to the test and almost destroyed our friendship at one point… I have closure.”

Tom Schwartz says he set “healthy boundaries” with Tom Sandoval

Months after Schwartz & Sandy’s closed down, the Vanderpump Rules alums reunited in Tom Schwartz’s home state of Minnesota, where Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras headlined a concert. Tom Schwartz not only attended the event, but he also joined the band on stage for a performance of “Schwartz’s Mom,” a revamped cover of Fountains of Wayne’s 2003 hit “Stacy’s Mom.”

Tom Schwartz shed more light on the dynamic during a May appearance on The Viall Files podcast, saying he refused to linger on his past issues with Tom Sandoval.

“I have healthy boundaries, and our names aren’t on the side of a business that people love to chastise, maybe rightfully so, anymore,” he said, referring to Schwartz & Sandy’s. “But I have my peace, I have my boundaries now. And any sort of lingering resentment with Sandoval, it’s like compartmentalized… It’s tucked away. It’s on a shelf. It’s gone but not forgotten.”
