Salley Carson and Austen Kroll are giving a look inside their friendship today following the Southern Charm Season 11 finale. The Southern Charm cast members heavily flirted with one another and exchanged a steamy kiss throughout Season 11, and have remained close to this day even as they have navigated speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Both Salley and Austen took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 17, where they revealed that they were celebrating St. Patrick’s day together, along with a group of friends. Salley took to Instagram, where she posted a video of her walking beside Austen before pushing him out of the way to dispel any rumors that they are together. “Move b—tch, they think we’re dating,” Salley wrote over the comical video.
Austen took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, where he posted a photo of him and Salley hanging out with their friends, which included Southern Charm-ers Rodrigo Reyes, Madison LeCroy, and her husband, Brett Randle. While they were out and about, Austen put on his dancing shoes to dance in the middle of a bar. “Lord of the dance,” he wrote over the video.
Austen Kroll reveals where he stands with Salley Carson after Southern Charm Season 11
Although Austen and Salley teased a potential romance during the finale of Southern Charm Season 11, Austen is adamant that they are just friends following his breakup from Audrey Pratt. Austen appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, March 11, where he opened up about where he and Salley stand today. “Salley and I are close, and she knows that when we got back from Mexico it was still like, ‘Hey. I am newly single and I need time.’ And it’s still kind of like that,” he explained.
“But we’re just really good friends, to be totally honest,” he confirmed. “Salley has done multiple interviews where it seems like we are hot and heavy and I can attest that’s not true. We’re all friends.”

Salley Carson admits she’s “not ready” to be in a relationship with Austen Kroll
At the end of the Southern Charm Season 11 finale, an on-screen graphic revealed that Salley and Austen had been “hanging out and making out” since the Carolina Day party. During the Southern Charm After Show, Austen admitted that not much has changed since their conversation took place at the party. “We’re in that exact same realm, like where that conversation was,” he said.
Salley offered her take on their situation during the Southern Charm After Show. “I think we’re both not ready,” she said. “I don’t think we would ever go into anything unless we were super serious about each other, because we don’t want to mess up the friendship that we have. So, once we decide, or if we were to ever decide, like, hey, we’re doing this thing, it would be an all-in situation…I think he really cares about me.”
