Tom Sandoval and Kristen Doute have been in communication since she gave birth to her daughter, Kaia Lily, earlier this month. The Vanderpump Rules alum and The Valley cast member have come a long way since they dated during VPR Season 1 — and now they are in a very good place.
Tom spoke to E! News following his audition for America’s Got Talent on June 24. After Tom and his band, with his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, took the stage (and moved to the second round), he told E! News that Kristen and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, congratulated him on this big accomplishment.
“Luke and Kristen both reached out to me,” he said. “Of course, I congratulated Kristen and Luke on their daughter, Kaia Lily, because I know they just had their baby.”
“We talk to each other from time to time,” he added. “Especially Luke, I see him often…We’ve been through a lot together.”
“The outpouring of support, I feel so blessed and lucky to have friends like that who are giving me so much love,” Tom noted. “It’s been really awesome. I appreciate it.”
Speaking of whic, Scheana Shay recently chatted with E! News and showed her love for Tom’s latest career chapter. “I saw it on Instagram. I mean, they sounded great. I don’t think you can deny that. Four yes’s [from the judges], that’s huge,” she said. “I was always a fan of the band. I don’t go see them anymore, but I was always a fan.”

During an August 2024 episode of her and Luke’s podcast, Balancing Act, Kristen opened up about her relationship with Tom, which admittedly has its ups and downs. “I don’t have hate in my heart,” she said.
“I don’t even really dislike Tom at all… Sometimes I just don’t wanna touch s—t with a 10-foot pole, because my life is calm and chaotic enough as it is,” she noted. “I don’t need to bring in outside chaos.”
Luke Broderick reveals how he navigates a friendship with Tom Sandoval
During the same podcast episode, Luke admitted that he and Tom are “more than acquaintances.” “Tom and I have had fun,” he explained. “We run into each other at the bar more times than we planned to hang out. That kind of describes it. But when we’ve been together, we’ve had a good time and he’s been the same person to me.”
Kristen revealed that this friendship isn’t something that she’s against. “Luke can do whatever he wants…But as far as allowing him to be friends with anyone, it’s up to him,” she added. “It doesn’t rub me the wrong way.”
