Whitney Rose has been nothing but open about her marriage to Justin Rose during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City—even letting viewers in on their sex life when they covered themselves in body paint to create lovemaking “art” in Season 2. But she dropped an even bigger bombshell about her marriage when she chatted with Bronwyn Newport about her “agreement” with her husband during Season 6, Episode 9.
“My agreement with my husband is: I’m not gonna do anything stupid, I’m always going to get home safe, and I’ll always communicate with him,” Whitney spilled during the Nov. 11 episode, and later added of her marriage, “Agreements need to be had.”
It came after Bronwyn discovered during the group’s Below Deck Down Under crossover charter trip that Lisa Barlow shared a rumor with Angie Katsanevas that Bronwyn’s husband Todd Bradley was allegedly cheating on her. It prompted Whitney to ask Bronwyn, “What is the agreement?” over lunch upon return from the yacht.
“So that’s what irritates me. So, we don’t have one,” Bronwyn responded. “I would rather, when Lisa says, ‘Oh, I heard Todd was making out with someone,’ be like, ‘I bet he was. I picked her for him. What else?’”
Whitney was sympathetic to Bronwyn’s marital situation. “I understand fully. I went through this with Justin,” she answered during the Nov. 11 episode. But Whitney was quick to later clarify, “I’m not going to start a rumor about myself. We’re not in, like, an open relationship.”
Whitney Rose reveals the “rules” for her marriage to Justin
Whitney and Justin celebrated their 15-year wedding anniversary in November 2024, and she admitted to The Daily Dish at the time that her marriage has been “up and down.” She acknowledged that communication is what’s saved them in the bedroom as she spoke to Bronwyn in the Nov. 11 episode.
“Obviously, with our age difference, like, we’ve talked about it a lot. If there’s something that I wanna do, then I would bring it to Justin, and we’d talk about it,” Whitney explained. “The minute you break trust with the agreement, it’s over. So you can’t do anything behind each other’s backs. You have to follow the rules. And he was doing the same. But the best thing I ever did was speak what I need and want.”

Whitney’s marriage has been tested recently, as she and Justin shed new light on the failure of their business venture, sharing, “Now we have nothing,” during the RHOSLC Season 6 premiere. Whitney also revealed she “felt unsupported” by Justin in Episode 5, causing Andy Cohen to praise the couple and their stark openness and honesty about all aspects of their marriage during Whitney’s Oct. 14 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I have strong feelings, as everyone knows, and I’ve chosen to lead this year with authenticity, completely and fully transparent,” Whitney said at the time. “I’m not going to fake my life, and this is what I’m going through, and it’s not always pretty.”
Whitney Rose reveals past doubts in marriage to Justin Rose
Whitney and Justin have fought back against the idea that they were divorcing for years, including when Justin stopped wearing his wedding ring during RHOSLC Season 4. Whitney also addressed “rumors” of their split when she appeared on the Jan. 8, 2025 WWHL, where she claimed “those rumors have been circulating for five years now.” But in the Nov. 11 episode, Whitney acknowledged to Bronwyn that the thought has crossed her mind before.
“There has been times where like we have been on the outs. Like I thought I was done,” Whitney admitted. “Like, I honestly was like, ‘Okay. Who’s out there? What’s going on around me?’ And he was doing the same.”
She later added, “There’s been times where I’ve thought I wanted something different. There’s been times when Justin thought he wanted something different.”

Whitney credited marriage counseling as what saved her relationship with Justin. “We went to therapy and got to the root of why we were feeling that and realized we were just missing each other and our relationship,” she told Bronwyn.
Still, Whitney clarified she doesn’t see her marriage to Justin ending anytime soon.
“I just think that life is meant to be lived. And marriage is sacred…I don’t want to be married to anyone else. Like, I never do. Justin’s my man. He’s an amazing husband. But, you have to live your life,” she shared with Bronwyn.
Whitney did leave the door open for change in her future with Justin, however, telling Bronwyn, “I’m never going to say never. When my kids are out of the house, I’m going to do whatever I want.”
