Over the weekend, the Wild Rose Beauty founder took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband for their 16th wedding anniversary, dropping more than a dozen photos and videos serving as a testament to their undying love. Whitney used the opportunity to explain that 16 years traditionally called for a gift made of wax, admitting, “At first, I was like WTH … but, I started reading more about it, and it’s beautiful.
“The wax represents the flexibility and the warmth that a couple needs to mold their lives together over time,” she wrote beside the Nov. 22 post. “This is beautiful, and it definitely resonates with how much we have been through, yet while always loving each other every step of the way. I love you, J, thanks for molding this life with me.”
Many from the Bravo family jumped in the comments to wish the SLC couple a very happy anniversary. Among them were fellow snowflake-holders Bronwyn Newport and Angie Katsanevas, and others from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Real Housewives of Miami, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and elsewhere.
A look back at Whitney and Justin Rose’s marriage
Justin and Whitney married in 2009, later welcoming their daughter, Bobbie Rose, 15, and son, Brooks Rose, 12. They have been candid about their “up-and-down” relationship, from Justin’s devastating job loss in Season 3 to the not-so-pretty aspects of marriage, as was the case earlier this season when Whitney felt “unsupported” by her husband amid their financial and business woes.
Still, they’ve weathered on, even through their most challenging times.
As she told The Daily Dish last year, “You’re not always gonna be on the same page, but you’re lucky if you’re in the same chapter. Just stay in the same book. Like, just as long as you’re staying in the same book, if you’re lucky, stay in the same chapter. And the moment that you’re on the same page like cherish those. ’Cause those moments are what keep you going.”

“I feel like he raised me in a way; It’s like I spent my entire life married,” Whitney said. “I wouldn’t change it. Like, I don’t know if I could be married to someone younger than me.”
