Brittany Cartwright officially has a “new man” in her life, amid her divorce from Jax Taylor. The Valley cast member appeared on her podcast on Aug. 23, where she confirmed that she is seeing someone and she is very happy because of it.
“I’ve got a new man in my life and that’s very exciting,” she said of her new boyfriend.
Although she didn’t share any details about him on the podcast, Brittany confirmed that people will eventually learn more about him. “Not going to go too much into that yet, but you’ll probably hear more about him soon,” she added.
“But yeah, it’s all good things,” she noted. “I’m just feeling really happy. I can’t stop smiling. I’ve been feeling really, really good lately.”
Brittany’s friend, Kristen Doute, had previously confirmed that Brittany was seeing someone in an Aug. 21 interview with People. “She has someone in her life that’s really amazing, that I’m head over heels for,” she said. “She’s dated people during her single years since her ex-husband, and I have not approved of them. They’ve been fine but not wonderful. This person is very wonderful and very cool. Very family-feeling.”

During the podcast episode, Brittany also confirmed that she is feeling sparkly again. The mom to 4-year-old son, Cruz, had previously stated that she felt like she was “losing” her “sparkle” while she was married to Jax. But, she confirmed on the podcast that she has now gotten it back. “I just feel a lot happier,” she said. “I feel like I have moved on in such a big way. Like, the little things don’t bother me anymore…I know I deserve better and it just doesn’t matter to me anymore. I feel good in my skin. I just feel happy. I feel healthy.”

“Me and Cruz are doing amazing,” she continued. “I have amazing friends, amazing family. I just really feel like I’m coming back to myself again.”
Brittany had appeared on Tom Schwartz’s podcast on Aug. 12, where she said that her sparkle is now an “eight out of 10.” “I’m in a much better place than I was last summer, so yeah,” she said. “It’s time for new beginnings.”

The mom of one has revealed the qualities she values in a partner, following her five-year marriage to Jax. Brittany appeared on Lala Kent’s podcast on May 21, where she listed off the things that she wants out of someone whom she is dating.
“I just want somebody that makes me laugh, is a good time, respects me, is nice to me, like actually treats me like I’m supposed to be treated,” she noted. “And you know, obviously loves my family, loves my son, eventually.”

But, she admitted that she isn’t in a rush to introduce new romantic partners to Cruz. “Like, it will take me a long time to ever have anybody around Cruz,” she added. “But whoever eventually is in my life will have to be in love with him.”
